Seven Ships in Port on our stop...

Hi we are stopping in Barbados in March... just wondering if seven ships is crazy busy in one day? also is there any suggestions on things to do there on such a busy day... thks in advance....:D

Seven is busy. What are you interested in? :confused:

 

Lots of beach clubs on Carlisle Bay - about a 20 min walk or a $5 cab ride from the port. Pirates Cove, Boatyard, Harbor Lights, Lobster Alive, etc. Check trip advisor reviews and this board to see which one appeals to you.

 

Many book catamaran/sailing tours that include snorkel stops and a chance to swim with the turtles.

Wow. Sounds like Grand Cayman.

 

I've been there with three ships in port.

 

Beach would be fun.

Harbor Lights will be quieter, with no water toys, etc. compared to The Boatyard -- read some reviews and pick one. ;)

Thk you we are getting excited.... do you remember how much a cab there and back was... and is cabs there waiting to get back to port???

Cab there should be about $5 each and the same fare will get you back. The driver who takes you there will try to schedule a pick up so that he gets your fare both ways - fine if you have an idea of how long you want to stay. If not there will usually be cabs waiting for cruise ship customers in the afternoon or the staff can call one for you.

 

Or walk back - it will take about 20 minutes (maybe more if you've had a few too many beers ;) )

I suggest hiring a cab to tour the eastern (Bathsheba) and northeastern (Little Bay and Animal flower garden) area of Barbados. Although the water is too rough to swim, it is an incredibly gorgeous area. I can't imagine spending time on any of the more populated beaches with 7 ships in port.
