bubbakirk43 Posted February 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2018 They are highly trained according to carnival ,,,LOL .Trained how to kick passengers when they are on the ground is there way it looks like .Doesn't cost anything to train them how to do that . ScottsSweetie Posted February 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I like how security is more interested in taking the phone out rather than stopping the fight.
bubbakirk43 Posted February 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Strong armed approach ,,LOL ,,good way to start a major riot on a cruise ship ..
BookDragon Posted February 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Those people fighting are idiots. But what’s with all that kicking by the security guards?!?! They haven’t been trained to subdue in a better, more effective way?
Toryhere Posted February 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2018 More evidence of the fact that the cruise lines have lowered the bar so far that the ferals are now able to afford a ticket. Another great reason to avoid mass market cruise ships.

timc.jb Posted February 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Really need to find out root cause of what caused all this. I have seen people really out of control that act like complete idiots. I'm not saying the staff has the right to kick someone when they are down but sometimes people, whether passenger or not, need a good kicking. I'm pretty sure if he would of calmed down it would not of escalated to this level.

bubbakirk43 Posted February 16, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2018 The passive ,aggressive approach by the security is not the best in these particular situations for obvious reason's .Knowing when to step in and deter such actions from escalating would be the wiser approach . Keys2Heaven Posted February 16, 2018 #13 Share Posted February 16, 2018 The female security guard was only interested in smacking the phone out of the person filming, since she was useless otherwise. Wow, I now feel LESS safe after watching this.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Stick93 Posted February 16, 2018 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2018 This is what happens when you have cut backs and people get there nickels and dimes taken away from them. But seems like they don’t have any spare change to hire qualified people. Cannot wait for my next carnival cruise - look like it’s the funship special right in the kisser Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I agree the kicking was probably unnecessary, but let the bashers have their fun concentrating on that instead of the real problem that led to it. bubbakirk43 Posted February 16, 2018 #18 Share Posted February 16, 2018 It is disturbing to say the least ,but unless someone who was involved in it was actually there when it all started then we will probably never find out what caused it to escalate into this brawl . P&T Posted February 16, 2018 #19 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Passenger behaviour aside. Rather troubling - Crew engaged in violent assault, tampering with/deletion of evidence, illegal confiscation of personal property.

buchhalm Posted February 16, 2018 #22 Share Posted February 16, 2018 http://www.smh.com.au/national/violence-reported-on-cruise-ship-carnival-legend-on-way-to-melbourne-20180215-p4z0jz.html The above is a link to a news report that popped up this morning. A violent fight between passengers on a Carnival ship. Just as shocking as the fighting passengers is the behaviour of the CREW. Staff, including officers and crew in security uniforms are seeing punching and kicking people on the ground and more than one crew member can be seen attacking bystanders who are filming the chaos on their phones. Badly handled.
ladiibug Posted February 16, 2018 #23 Share Posted February 16, 2018 The behavior by “security” and other ship staff is disturbing. They certainly haven’t been trained to de-escalate a volatile situation. Curious to see CCL’s response to this, if any.
