Rare Kteacher Posted February 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2018 I’m very sad to report that a dear friend and cruise critic member, Rev Smith recently passed away. I met Rev on the Roll Call boards a number of years ago, and we ended up becoming close friends, enjoying cruises together as well as trips to Disney for the Food and Wine Festival. Although Rev hadn’t cruised in a couple years, she was a Loyal to Royal, as well as a Pinnacle member. I’m grateful for having the chance to meet and know my dear friend Rev through these message boards. Sent from my iPad using Forums

She probably had more hats than some women have shoes!!;) Loved her sense of humor! She will be missed for sure!:loudcry: Rest in peace Rev! We will definitely see you again on that big cruise ship in the sky!!:halo:
Grandma Dazzles Posted February 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2018 The name is so familiar - was Rev Smith a lady on a scooter - rather flamboyant with lots of hats and great fun, possibly with an Australian connection? I was trying to put a face to the name - pretty sure we cruised together a few times. Always sad to lose someone.

White haired (pigtails) lady, wearing her cowgirl hat, riding a red scooter throughout the Promenade is how we remember her. pasto5 Posted February 25, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 25, 2018 I am so very sorry to hear this. A group of us sailed with her and her sister Linda in 2006 on the Caribbean Princess. We kept in touch through Cruise Critic for a number of years. I got to go out to lunch with her in 2007 when I was in her “neighborhood”. She will be missed. FloridaPalms Posted February 26, 2018 #15 Share Posted February 26, 2018 I had the pleasure of meeting Rev back on my April 2009 Navigator cruise. She had been very active in our roll. In chatting with her, it was clear that the one thing she loved more than talking about cruising, planning a cruise, or being on a cruise, was her family. May she Rest In Peace. My condolences to her family.
Two from Virginia Posted February 27, 2018 #16 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Very sorry to hear this. I am part of Linda's group that sailed with Rev in 2006. My husband and I met her for lunch once when she was in Washington, DC. Deepest sympathy to her family. Does anyone know the details who would be willing to share here? Esmerelda Posted February 27, 2018 #18 Share Posted February 27, 2018 My family and I had the pleasure of sailing with Rev about 8 years ago. I believe it was on the Freedom. Such a nice lady. I remember she was part of the cabin crawl and she had one of the huge suites with a piano and a hot tub on the balcony. She made us all feel so welcome. Her husband was with her, he was on a scooter I believe. May she Rest In Peace.

debandbruce Posted February 27, 2018 #21 Share Posted February 27, 2018 This is so sad to hear, we cruised with Rev on the Freedom. We were waiting in line to check in and she arrived on her scooter. Of course the staff all knew her due to her many cruises. They treated her like Royalty, she just drove right on past the lines. Loyalty has it perks! Loyalty has it perks! Yes ❤️. I wanted to deliver roses to her on one of the RCI ships, knew the sailing date but not the cabin information. When I called RCI all I had to say was Rev and they knew exactly who I was talking about. Sent from my iPad using Forums
