John319a Posted March 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Hi, We're leaving on the Silhouette tomorrow and are trying to decide when to leave our house. What times do the cabins usually open for passengers to drop their stuff off? Thanks
BitburgBoy Posted March 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Hi, We're leaving on the Silhouette tomorrow and are trying to decide when to leave our house. What times do the cabins usually open for passengers to drop their stuff off? Thanks We were told 1:00 PM, But “snuck in” earlier. May depend on cabin class and if your cabin is ready. NantahalaCruiser Posted March 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Sometime between 1:00 and 1:30 (usually closer to 1:00) They make an announcement when cabins are ready.

leaveitallbehind Posted March 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2018 You will be able to board around 11:00 and can drop your luggage off with the porters anytime before that. Just keep your carry on with you, get situated, and have lunch and enjoy the ship prior to the staterooms being opened. Why wait to board for the staterooms to be available? Just our preference. Rare 4cats4me Posted March 11, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2018 We had to wait until 1:00 on the last three cruises.

To each their own. Our preference is the opposite - hate to drag around our carry-ons and fight the huge crowds in the buffet or other public areas. Also, check-in lines are minimal by then - sometimes no wait at all. We always wait until close to the time staterooms are to be ready. For us a much more calming start to the vacation. Everyone has different preferences.
