Saab4444 Posted March 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Mein Schiff 2 (former Mercury) was scheduled to be transferred from TUI Cruises to Marella Cruises (former Thompson Cruises) in April 2019. This has now been changed and she stays with TUI Cruises in Germany. This means Marella needs another ship next year to fulfill their schedule. As they already have Legend and Splendor and Empress has no schedule after March 19 I trust she will be transferred to Marella next year. I do not believe it will be another Visions class ship (Vision or Rhapsody) as many on this board have guessed before. They stay with Royal. Clarea Posted March 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Appreciate the info, I'd love the Vision class ships to stay with RC as long as possible.

OceansOfTravels Posted March 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I wonder. Have Royal's Cuba cruises not been very successful?
Saab4444 Posted March 18, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I wonder. Have Royal's Cuba cruises not been very successful? Yes, but after starting with smaller ships now everyone is allowed to send ships in the size of Majesty or Vision class. No need for the small one anymore. OfTheSeasCruiser Posted March 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2018 To be fair, the Cuba cruises are usually the last be released. Majesty's schedule is also only available until March 2019.

wblynch Posted March 19, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 19, 2018 We saw the Splendor as Discovery in St.Kitts two weeks ago. It was weird and sad
welshrich Posted March 19, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 19, 2018 IMO it would not bother me if Empress or Majesty left the fleet, we had not sailed Sovereign class for years and then last year sailed on Majesty again, lovely ship but it seemed so cramped even compared to Vision which we are sailing on again later this year. I do hope they hold on to the Vision and Radiance class for a good few years though.
