trish1c Posted March 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2018 What's the difference? I think check in is a different line vs 1st timers & in my experience rarely shorter. But then what is priority embarkation? Is that what the Haven people get . . . nicer place to sit, get on board 1st etc.? NCL calls vastly different benefits very similar names & I get confused. roger001 Posted March 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2018 True priority belongs to suite guests. Upon entering the terminal, they will be directed to a suite guest check in line at the counter. After completing that, they will be escorted to a separate waiting area that will have snacks available. That is where they will actually be issued their room cards by the concierge. When the ship is ready to board, they will then be escorted onto the ship by the concierge and a specialty restaurant will be available to them for lunch. This process does vary a bit depending upon which port you are at. Platinum guests do get a bit of priority in both lines to use in the terminal for check in and usually a lower boarding number. Again, varies from port to port.
FLAHAM Posted March 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Arriving about noon recently for the Epic in Port Canaveral, I was delighted and surprised to find that the line for Latitudes Gold was MUCH shorter than the general line. Even the suite passengers looked a little desolate in their area as we we were quickly processed and cleared.

In many terminals, Ambassador, P+ and P members sit with the Suites and Havems guests waiting to board. In other terminals like Miami, there is a separate seating area and people there are allowed to board before general boarding numbers are called. Two Wheels Only Posted March 18, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I assume that does not include mini-suites? Mini-suites are the same as any other non-suite. Nothing "priority" about them.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums Someday...maybe...but I doubt it, NCL will quit calling those cabins mini suites and call them deluxe balcony cabins, which is actually what they are. The term mini suite has confused a lot of folks.

cb at sea Posted March 19, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 19, 2018 If you arrive AFTER boarding has started, there is rarely any wait after "check in"....just don't get there TOO early!
