wandbrich11 Posted March 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2018 I know it gets asked a lot, but we are looking for a hotel. We fly in late night before cruise. We usually go in two days before but this is a quick getaway. So we need a nice hotel to sleep. Would like breakfast and close to airport or cruise port. We don't get in until almost midnight. Be nice if they have free shuttle but not necessary. Thanks!
Rare 4cats4me Posted March 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) How much are you willing to spend? What time of year are you talking about? Without more specifics, it is kind of hard to know what you want. If you are traveling in Mar-Apr most hotels near the port will run somewhere between $199-$300. It is still high season. May-Oct much more reasonable rates. Most hotels don’t have a free shuttle, but Hyatt Place Convention Center does ($2 per trip, almost free). Hotels in other parts of Ft. Laud will be more reasonably priced than those right near the port. Crowne Plaza seems to have decent rates, and it is nearest the airport. Hotwire and Priceline and Priceline Express have worked well fo4 me a lot. wandbrich11 Posted March 18, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 18, 2018 We are going end of may. And I'd say price wise, around $100-150.
wandbrich11 Posted March 18, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted March 18, 2018 It is a quick 4 day cruise. We stay overnight on a Wednesday.
Rare 4cats4me Posted March 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Oh, you should be fine price wise. You’ll find a lot of cruisers who like Embassy Suites, Hyatt Place, Holiday In Express, Riverside Hotel(great area for restaurants not so much for convenience though) and Renaissance. All are located centrally, and the ES and HP are located next to tons of shopping and liquor stores in case you need to purchase a bottle of wine to bring onboard. FLL Pre Cruise Hotel - narrowed choice down, but they are booked - need more ideas https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=24703&share_tid=2568233&url=https%3A%2F%2Fboards%2Ecruisecritic%2Ecom%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D2568233&share_type=thttps://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=24703&share_tid=2568233&url=https%3A%2F%2Fboards%2Ecruisecritic%2Ecom%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D2568233&share_type=t

Much better for the OP to use a taxi due to the late arrival time...regardless of hotel they opt to use.

Rare Keith1010 Posted March 19, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2018 I would look at the Embassy Suites. It will include a nice breakfast the following morning. Keith
JohninDC Posted March 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 19, 2018 www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel info. We also like the ES, but I'm not sure you'll find a room there in your budget.
wandbrich11 Posted March 19, 2018 Author #10 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Embassy suites have rooms in our budget. I thought about them, always love them. Thanks all!
