DAllenTCY Posted April 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2018 As I was headed back to my stateroom after dinner, I saw quite a pleasant presentation. I didn't find out what was the game, but that over-sized check was being held by several staff members and the lucky recipient. David
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2018 That is rare for someone to win such a nice big jackpot on a ship.
rkacruiser Posted April 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2018 At home, I play a 5 number game on the Ohio Lottery. During my Zaandam cruise, I saw HAL had a 5 number game as well. Never have won major $$ at home, but I thought I would try my luck for a few draws. Slow learner me finally realized that the odds of winning were less than Ohio's Rolling Cash 5 Game. I ended my contributions. So, congratulations to the big winner on the Westerdam! No doubt that many of us CC HAL posters only wish it could have been ME! drowelf Posted April 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 12, 2018 Well, I've won 2 End-Of-Cruise Jackpots at Bingo. On the first, I missed most of dinner because of the time it took to deal with the paperwork and the dispensing of the Cash!. The processing of the second was much quicker, as it just went as a Credit to my OBA. Cheers,
jhannah Posted April 12, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 12, 2018 Gee! I never won so much as a nickel. But, I suppose one has to actually play to win. ;-) Congrats to the winner !
Sue from Canada Posted April 12, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 12, 2018 Sweet win! Thanks for sharing. It would be an even sweeter win if the person was Canadian and winning US dollars.

They ask for it very quickly. I won a 2400.00 jackpot on a 24 day cruise on the Maasdam last year the last two days of the trip. Before even getting payout they ask for SS Number, passport, drivers license. I was in total shock. You get the 1099 before disembarkation. I did that on the duces wild. I got a royal flush with no duces. I did it right before dinner! After I got paid I went downstairs to guest services and paid my bill with part of it. Congrats to the winner! Make sure to get the Win Loss Statement from the Ocean Players Club. This is really Awesome!
