Pricing a Grand Suite on anthem. Its 10000 more then my jr suite that i have booked. Do people really pay these prices or are there some tricks to getting a better deal on suites. I could see 1 or 2k more, but 10k you've got to be nuts.

I booked a grand suite in March for a cruise in late May and the price I paid was not anything near that. Of course, I may have gotten a better price since it was a late booking and it was during the kids sale free promo. My final price was less than half that.

Obviously, the amount you pay for a Grand Suite depends on the date you wish to sail. George C is paying 2500 per person in November, for an Owners Suite, but were he to book a different sailing, the price might jump to 4K or 5K per. I do not agree with Diamondsuitecruiser that there are no perks in a Grand Suite. Suite Lounge, free drinks during happy hour, priority boarding are definitely perks. And on some larger ships, there is a dedicated restaurant. Neil

I had a Grand suite on Anthem last May, it was 5800. When I looked to book it for this year, it was over 9000. Instead I book Oasis Owners suite for 5100. It’s a 7 nite vrs a 9 on Anthem but I felt it was a great price. Anthem is getting too expensive.

I was just pricing out holiday cruises for 2019, and the 9-night Southern on Explorer over NYE was only $7k for 3 people in GS, and I think the 10-night Southern over Xmas on Serenade was roughly the same price. These are great prices for a holiday cruise. I would bet that a GS on Oasis-class ship over the holidays is 50% or more higher for 7-day cruise.

Is anthem just more expensive then other ships. I payed 5200 with the ksf promo for a jr suite 9 night cruise. (I thought I got a good deal).

Just priced again .

Jr Suite $14,144

Grand suite 1 br-$18,745

Grand Loft suite $26,545

I don't know, but I've got to find out where you guys shop.

Would like to try and get the full suite benefits one day, but at these prices forget it.

Maybe they didn't include the discount for balcony's & suites. Lol

That is INSANE! Who has that kind of money to spend on a week long vacation? Okay, maybe I am a little jealous! I am thankful for an OV room. LOL

@JPTOZ--- 26K??? You can buy a car for that! WOW!

"Affordable" is relative. The new Family Suite on Symphony is 25k+ (I've seen as high as $60k for a week) and it's almost fully booked for the next year.

I booked a 2 bedroom suite on allure and didn't pay anywhere near 10K (for 4 people).

For 5 people on a Star Class 2 bedroom suite, we paid a little over that, but when you consider the genie, specialty restaurants, CK dining, drink package, internet, porter to the room and off the ship, and all the other perks, per person we did not think it was a bad deal. The next week, prices went up so our TA much have hit a good time..

I normally don't jump into discussions like this but this one has me wondering...how many people is this reservation for?? Those prices seem ridiculously high.

We just sailed Anthem over spring break in a family Junior Suite, 4 people, it was about $3900 total. That was with KSF.

We sailed Harmony in the height of summer, when prices are high, in a GS and it was $4600 for my husband and I.

We have a JS booked for Symphony for 2 people in July 2019 and it's $4900. And that is high I'm guessing because it's Symphony and it's summer.

We are sailing in a Star Loft in March 2019 for 4 people, Harmony, and we are paying less than that price for the JS quoted above.

Something doesn't seem right with those prices. I have found Anthem to usually be less expensive than the Oasis class ships. Is this sailing that you are trying to price out a really long sailing? Like a 12 night? That would be the only way it might make sense?

Can you give me some tips as to how you got that deal?

We got some good deals a few years ago booking on board , also diamond discount , always got decent price on navigator and liberty. My November cruise was originally 2500 per for oasis kept watching price and getting reductions on my grand suite until it went down to 2000, noticed owners suite was the price I originally booked Gs for , had really wanted to try that it’s about 550 sq ft with a 259 sq ft balcony. All depends on ship and date we normall cruise end of April and week after thanksgiving.

I will say that our TA was working this almost every day for two weeks looking for a deal and was surprised at the deal she found. She thinks there may have been a cancellation. We are paying less for this suite than we paid for a concierge cabin on Celebrity's Solstice of the Seas.

A few weeks ago I got an email from the casino department for a free cruise in an inside cabin for two on the Allure. I upgraded to a Grand Suite and added my son for 2,400. I could not pass that up since the inside would of been 900 to add my son.
