Priority Tender

I think it means you can get priority tickets from Carnival, and those allow you off before other guests. Of course, guests with a Carnival-sponsored tour are going to be allowed to get to shore in time to make their excursion.

After the 1st couple of tenders, no tickets are required....you simply get on the next tender! They hold about 200 people, in most cases.

So, unless you MUST be 1st off, simply wait about 30 mins, and get on the next boat!

If you have priority tendering, does this mean you get to tender first in the morning or if you choose later, you skip the lines?

Priority status allows priority tendering any time there is a line, be it at 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM, to get off the ship. No tender sticker is needed.

There is no priority tendering to get back to the ship.

If there is no line to get on a tender, there is no need to use the service.

We visit Guest Services when we are ready to go and are personally escorted by a crew member to the tender.

We are prepared for the eye-daggers thrown at our backs by passengers in line who are stopped so we can be escorted before them.

This has been our exact experience, both on the Magic and the Breeze.

Is it just the person who is platinum/diamond or does priority include everyone in their cabin?

i think it is for the platinum/diamond person and up to 5 guests. can't remember the exact number but it will be on your paperwork they put in your room the night before the tender port.

We're on the Glory this week, 'everyone' except excursions had to get a tender ticket, we are platinum, and got number 8, which got us on the 3rd tender!Excursions only had to show their excursions tickets!

I asked the guy with the walkie talkie who seemed to be directing people to which tender to take about this process, and he said he thought every ship was doing it this way. We saw people with tender numbers in the 20's as we were leaving!

But everyone got off very quickly.

I had FTTF back in 2013 and we tendered at HMC. My friend and I went to get in the line and noticed they had 2 separate lines. One for platinum, diamond and FTTF and the other not. Is it not like this anymore? I have FTTF for my upcoming cruise and have a tender for Grand Cayman.

Did you go straight to the venue where people waited to catch a tender or to Guest Services to be escorted off?

If you have an excursion ticket, follow the instructions printed on it, but if you miss the meeting, or are running late, go directly to the tender location on the ship, your excursion ticket will get you on the 'first available' tender ashore.

Priority means just that, whenever you want to leave, if the tenders are crowded, go to guest services and you'll be on the next available tender!

The night before, you receive a note in your mail box that says you can board a tender to shore 15 minutes before anyone else is called. We were invited to the gold dining room where priority would be escorted to the tender first.

I'm confused. Your posts seem to be contradicting each other.

You're right, the first post was 'reality', what we experienced on week 2 of of current time on the Glory!

The second post was the Carnival written rule as others have also stated, and what we experienced on week 3 of our current time on the Glory.

If you follow the 'second post', you'll have no problems, but you 'might' see others 'getting by' on what post one said.

Sorry for any confusion, but on Carnival, reality and the written rule don't always match exactly. ;p

On our last 2 cruises (Glory and Conquest) we were told to wait in the dining room. When a tender was ready we were led (as a group) down to the tender. Have never been escorted to a tender directly from Guest Services. We could, however, tender any time we wanted - did not have to be on the first tender out.
