Adam, you were indeed very lucky a bit of sun popped out while you were in the Greek theater. Those are amazing pics!

Not sure if you mentioned earlier, what camera are you using besides your iPhone?

So after we returned from our excursion we relaxed in the cabin and enjoyed some treats we had bought in Taormina. While browsing through our onboard account I noticed a series of gratuity charges had been added. We have the Go Best package though so I headed down to the reception desk to clarify what was happening. I had a copy of my invoice from Celebrity which clearly stated Go Best. When I showed it to the agent at the desk she said she had to make a call to check into it (I assume to Celebrity corporate). She was on hold for almost ten minutes before finally getting through. After another 5 minutes or so she was not done with the call but told me that it was all set and they would remove the charges later that day but she needed someone on the corporate end to take care of it. With that resolved I went back to the cabin to relax again. We were happy to see that the mattress topper and extra pillows we requested had been added. A little while later one of the butlers showed up with a selection of afternoon snacks. Our butler, Sujith, showed up later with a bottle of Perrier Jouet in hand. Mike had asked him if it was possible for us to exchange the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine that was in our cabin for a bottle of real champagne since neither of us drink sparkling wine. Sujith had to check into that. He said the Suites Manager Sylvia arranged to get a bottle through the Casino Manager since we are Blue Chip members. We thanked him and asked him to send the bottle down to Luminae so we could have it with dinner.

We headed down to Luminae at 7:30. It was much busier tonight but Katya had a nice window table available for us. We asked our server to check with the sommelier to verify that our champagne had been sent down, which it had. So we enjoyed that along with another nice dinner. We both started with the Braised Beef Gnocchi followed by the Moroccan Chicken. There was a chef’s treat of a cannoli with vanilla cream prior to dessert. For the closer Mike had the Chocolate Napoleon while I had the Hazlenut Cake.

On our way out of Luminae we asked to see tomorrow’s menu. Nothing on it was a must have to eat so we told the maitre’d that we would be dining at Tuscan Grille the next night. He asked if we had made reservations yet. When we said no he went and reserved it for us. We each get a complimentary specialty restaurant meal for 2 with our Sapphire level in the casino so he noted that it would be a comped meal

After dinner we headed to the casino to play slots for the remainder of the evening. Like last night I had little to no luck but Mike managed to continue to maintain his winnings.d1f9e6bb774a544706f2c9bc51c7b189.jpg357e380f69ccf1f3f429e4bf45091a85.jpgee0643fda206fe12dfc0223daa3278bd.jpg5b92d3fc76559612ce001a520f002809.jpgd3248bd2fa0eab679cdb371be43bac82.jpg7490c05e9607121bb876013b9eb2f065.jpg

Thank you for a detailed review :) This was my honeymoon cruise in 2016 and we’re thinking of doing this sailing again.

Is this post an indication that the WiFi is strong and reliable or better than it was before?

I read on here that during Reflection’s dry dock earlier in the year the ship had upgraded internet cables installed.

Yes. WiFi has vastly improved on all the Celebrity ships over the past year!

Good to hear! I have to be live a couple of hours one night (past 10 PM) to accommodate an online class I’m taking that meets EST.

There’s likely less internet traffic at those times so hopefully it will be even faster!

Patiently waiting for your next cruise post :D

Just wanted to add that we were on the Reflection 4/2-4/13 of this year and the WiFi was great in our room. We were on Deck 12 Forward. It was not as good on our balcony, but your mileage may vary depending on your stateroom location.

WiFi was excellent in all the common areas of the ship.

Loving this review - we are sailing on the Reflection on May 7 Do you happen to know how much the Persian Garden Pass is for the length of the cruise?

Thanks!!

I remember glancing over and seeing a flyer for it when I was in the spa making reservations. I want to say it was $119. Don’t hold me to that though. [emoji846]

We have arrived in Valletta, Malta! Last night I had another restless night of sleep. The bed was much more comfortable thanks to our room attendant adding the mattress topper but I still had trouble sleeping. The ship was rocking much more once we had left the Strait of Messina heading down to Malta. I think we were going very slow as we did not have far to travel. I felt a bit queasy at one point in the middle of the night and popped a second Bonnie for the day (I am prone to seasickness) and that seemed to help calm things inside me after a bit. Still don’t feel totally rested though. Tomorrow is our first sea day so hopefully that will be more relaxing as we’ve been very “on the go” since we left home.

We were up at 6am this morning and then headed up to Oceanview for the first time this cruise. I enjoy breakfasts up there as there are a good variety of choices. I had some Eggs Benedict while mane had them fresh scramble some eggs. We got there a little after 7 and there were plenty of seats to be had but it was pretty busy by the time we left.

Now it’s off to get ready for our private tour for today!

Looking at your cabin photos makes me ask what makes it a suite?

I don’t see any difference to a regular 1A cabin ( which has the larger angled balcony)

It's probably what a hotel would term a Junior Suite - I.e a larger room rather than 2 rooms.

It's about 50% wider than a regular cabin (note the extra window) - similar in size, I think, to the mobility access balcony rooms. The bathroom is also larger, tiled, but no walk in shower! I hate showers in baths. Fixtures and fittings are improved and you also get the mainstay toiletries of most upmarket cruise lines - Bvlgari

I’ll keep to my balcony cabin then. I love the walk in shower, great for my bad knees (not that we can afford a suite)

Will they add the three free drinks to all elite and elite plus cruisers for all future sailings ? I am asking as my sister is the third person in our cabin and as such does not qualify for the classic drinks package ? She is elite though.

Sailing on the 28th May on Reflection.

Thanks

Yes, I am surprised in this day and age, from a health and safety point of view, they have you clambering in and out of a bath to shower.... on a ship that can be rocking...onto slippy tiles.

A hotel I am currently staying in a lot for work has a shower in the bath - no slip mat and absolutely NOTHING to grab hold of as you climb in and out other than a shower curtain - hate it.

I am in a balcony cabin.

Does this category, have shampoo and conditioner, and shower gel in them?

You will get Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Lotion but probably not Shower Gel. I think officially Balcony Cabins do not get Shower Gel but I know we got left some in our cabin on our last cruise.

Usually depends how many elite and above are on board. This sailing follows a TA these sailings usually have many elite+ and I'm guessing quite a few B2B.
