Passengers left in port .... Or we thought

Recommended Posts

I am sure Carnival and the captain balanced the need to leave on time and the possible negative publicity of leaving 3 passengers in a port. It is rare that passenger are left. I have been on this site for years and I cannot recall a singe person reporting that he/she was left in a port.

There has been a few, including a mom with a child in a stroller in Nassau a year or so ago.

Must of been excursion. I was an hour late from a ATV excursion in Nassau and the ship waited but it was stressful. My wife didn't go due to a bad back and security was calling her in the room questioning why we where not together and had no idea I was on a Carnival excursion. She explained to them where I was and another couple that she knew was with us. Our van had wifi so I was able to communicate we where stuck in traffic trying to get back. There was some communication issues between departments. They had one door already closed and closed the other after the 10 of us got back on. The port authority didn't even check our ID's at dock gate when he saw what ship we where, he just said hurry.

I seriously doubt it was an excursion. If it had been an excursion running late they would have waited, not left, turned around, and came back. Plus you would have seen a larger group returning.

Agree, it’s sounds exceptionally weird and unusual. Lucky for them. I doubt this will become a trend.
