chadcf Posted May 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2018 Port Everglades is the only cruise port that uses it so I figured I'd get it ready to go, but I was reading that they don't require you to fill out customs forms anymore, instead the customs agent just asks you if you brought anything in etc. So I'm wondering, does the mobile passport actually save time getting off the boat? I was under the impression that the app was just a replacement for having to fill out the form so I'm wondering if there is any point now.
megr1125 Posted May 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2018 Not for me last month on Harmony....there's a mobile passport line, but then the Customs agent said, oh I don't need that, just your passport.... YMMV
nhraformula00 Posted May 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2018 The last time we used it there were maybe 5 people in front of us and it took a total of 10 min. The other lines for regular pass ports had 2-300 passengers in each line. You decide.

katiel53 Posted June 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2018 Last cruise, which was on Allure, we got into the Mobile Passport line and when we got up to the front of the line, we were told it wasn't working, but the agent just checked our passports and we were off. The line is much shorter for the mobile passport people. I will always get in that line in Ft Lauderdale rather than wait in line with so many others. Same experience getting off a HAL ship except the agent directed you to the regular line.
candydane Posted June 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Is the Mobile Passport line well marked and easy to find? I don't remember seeing it before.

nhraformula00 Posted June 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 7, 2018 The whole point of using the mobile passport is the line for it is maybe 5-10 people, or you can use regular lines for regular passports in excess of 100's people waiting. Your choice
