Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 12, 2018 Author #332 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Today they are in Halifax, Nova Scotia: We went to Halifax on the Queen Mary 2 in Aug 2017., the whole waterfront is a nice place to explore! :)
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 12, 2018 #333 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Agreed, a great and easy place to explore on your own. The weather looks good for them anyway.
NSWP Posted August 12, 2018 #334 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Great pic thanks. Ye olde Sea Princess sails on to the 'Big Apple' aka 'The City that never sleeps.' I hope US immigration/border security is nice to them. It took 4 hours for us to get off at Manhattan Pier on Aurora in 2015.
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 13, 2018 #335 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Was that slow walking or a long gangway?
NSWP Posted August 13, 2018 #336 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Was that slow walking or a long gangway? 2000 pax, mostly Brits, only 4 officers doing the process and photos, fingerprints, questions etc, yawn. Good job we were there 2 days, pax without ship's shorex were held back and no crew were allowed off until 2nd day because of pax processing backlog.:( A lot of unhappy Marmites. Getting into the 'Land of the Free is never easy. Such is life.

NSWP Posted August 13, 2018 #338 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Reading the Blogs on SP from 'Still Travelling.' 3 days in a row sick pax were taken off the ship. Not good.

NSWP Posted August 14, 2018 #340 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Fatigue may be starting to hit. Too many Mohitos or Prawn Cocktails, perhaps those dinner rolls have started attacking pax.:')

NSWP Posted August 14, 2018 #343 Share Posted August 14, 2018 On Bridgecam she looks a fair distance from Manhattan Pier, if docking there. Early approach though 12.30am in NY. But then it is the city that never sleeps.

sewgood Posted August 14, 2018 #348 Share Posted August 14, 2018 I'm too late to see the ship sail in but boy what a fantastic skyline at night. I see on the Princess board that someone posted about how early the ship arrived. Hope they have a wonderful time in NY. One day I hope to go there.
