suekel Posted June 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2018 Is it possible to make substitutions on this breakfast? My husband won't eat salmon and I don't want enough for 2. Thanks
floridalover5623 Posted June 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2018 I may be wrong but I don't think salmon is on the breakfast menu.
suekel Posted June 11, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted June 11, 2018 I saw a video that someone posted of their breakfast and it was on there...It was pretty recent too.
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted June 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) Yes, you can make substitutions. Though on more than one occasion they have brought not only my substitution but the salmon as well. Edited June 12, 2018 by Host CJSKIDS
alolewis Posted June 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I request eggs Benedict in place of salmon and quiche. They brought the eggs Benedict in addition to the full menu. A lot of food. Sent from my SM-G950U using Forums mobile app
Rare geoherb Posted June 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I may be wrong but I don't think salmon is on the breakfast menu. The poster is talking about the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast. Smoked salmon is not on the regular room service breakfast card, but I've received it after writing it in.
myfuzzy Posted June 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2018 We order the breakfast most times, and never thought about changing things out. The room service steward does't come to your cabin for your order like on the balcony dinner, but maybe if you call room service ahead of time, tell them you want to make changes and see what they say. suekel Posted June 12, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Thanks. Yes, I think we have to call them the night before to set a time etc. I'll ask about changes at that time.

For the price you're paying, I suppose you should be abler to write in what ever you desire.
Coolmama_1 Posted June 12, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I ordered French toast instead of the salmon and got both. It was enough for 6 people.
EastBay Cruisers Posted June 12, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Yes, you can get substitutions. They do bring a lot of food, so plan accordingly. - EBC
myfuzzy Posted June 13, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 13, 2018 I love french toast, I will ask for it as a substitution next time. I also take along some "take out" containers to put the extra pastries in. I normally take two. One for the pastries and one for whatever we may want to save in the fridge for later. What we do is bring freezer bags. The containers don’t fit most of the time in the fridge.
floridalover5623 Posted June 13, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 13, 2018 What we do is bring freezer bags. The containers don’t fit most of the time in the fridge. We use plastic containers since they sit nicely on top of the ice container or top shelf. The freezer bags , although OK, but tend to flop around. The zip lock quart bags are great for packing lunch where it's OK.
myfuzzy Posted June 13, 2018 #16 Share Posted June 13, 2018 I found that Olive Garden take out soup containers are great for the fridge. They keep the fruit cold and fresh for a few days. I take the entree container with the attached lid for the pastries, then keep them in the closet on the shelf under the safe, they keep for the next day, just go to the IC for coffee and bring it back to the room. I have been able to keep the containers, orange juice and creamer in the fridge no problem. Just need to take out the ice bucket.
