Kartgv Posted June 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2018 That all depends on which cruise line you're on and how the party is organized. Some cruise lines actually sponsor the parties (Celebrity for example) and will place an information card in your room. Other lines may have less formal procedures and it will be up to the Roll Call coordinator to get the information out to all participants. Ask this on your Roll Call before departure. cmdchiefthom Posted June 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2018 :DWe're new to the " meet up cruise critic party" and don't know how or when we will be contacted.TIA Cheryl Hit the Meet and Mingle on Boards Home on the top of the page, or go to the Roll Call section, and look for your Ship's name, and the date of your cruise departure. Once there, jump right in and join the roll call. All the info you need to meet up onboard will be on that thread! Enjoy your cruise!;)
marco Posted June 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2018 After you've joined the thread as described in the above post, depending which line you're on, you may receive an "invitation" in your cabin as to when and where. Some lines only sponsor the M/G only if there are a certain # of people signed up for it. If it is not going to be ship sponsored, usually someone on that thread will post a time/place for the get together. What ship/line will you be sailing on? PROCRUISE Posted June 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Thanks. We are going on Celebrity Equinox on Saturday...in 3 days!!! I have joined the Roll Call(when we booked the cruise) and it looks like 70+ people are signed up but that's all it says. If you signed up for the Meet & Mingle, on Celebrity you will receive an invitation in your cabin upon arrival. If there is not one there, simple go to Guest Relations and inquire when and where the CC M&M will be held. Enjoy your cruise - the Equinox is fabulous! Celebrity has a link to the Celebrity web page to sign up. Celebrity handles the invitations, which you should have in your room when you board. Otherwise, as PROCRUISE says, go to Guest Relations to sign up. Here is the link to Celebrity's web page to sign up. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-critic-connections

BlueRiband Posted June 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Your best chance is to join and follow the Roll Call for your sailing. Unfortunately some "superorganizers" choose to only use social media other than CC for all the get-together information. Those who won't join that media platform miss out entirely. Rare MicCanberra Posted June 21, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 21, 2018 As mentioned, you need to register via the link. You will receive an email of confirmation that you have registered for the party. You should also get an email saying that the party will be held due to having the minimum 25 members signed up. There should be an invite in your cabin on embarkation day, failing that visit guest services and enquire for the when and where (normally around 10am the 2nd day or first sea day). Yukonjake Posted June 21, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 21, 2018 You know, I keep hearing about these roll calls and so far, I'm underwhelmed. A month out from the cruise, there are a just a dozen posts in my roll call and 75% of them are robo-posts. Sorry to hijack this thread for my grump.
