Venice water taxi for 10 with luggage

Will there be a water taxi large enough to accommodate 10 adults with 10 pieces of luggage at Marco Polo airport? I've read that there is no need to reserve one in advance, but would it be needed for such a large group? Thanks for your input!

This is a standard water taxi. Personally I doubt you can fit ten people plus luggage into one. I don’t know how a larger vessel can fit through the narrow canals.

This web site says up to 10 people and up to 12 bags. But look at the surcharges for over 4 people and 4 bags ...... might as well get a 2nd boat and be comfortable.

I think you will need 2 taxis or Alilaguna boat is nice option as well if you have stop close to your hotel.

Thanks for the link - good to know as I wasn't aware of the surcharge for large groups. For 10 people & 10 bags, it appears that the surcharge would be an additional 90 euros.

The Alilaguna is 15 euros per person (Marco Polo to VCE) - 150 for a group of 10. It is an economical option for a couple but not for a large group. I would opt for the water taxi - it will get you closer to your hotel and is a much more pleasant experience. JMHO

I think the surcharge for all the bags is almost a normal fare for another taxi. I think I would grab another water taxi.
