Do you remember what time you arrived at the port?
It was a little after 11. By the time that I parked, went through security, etc., and we were in the Yacht Club waiting area, it was before 12. Boarding was slightly delayed on our sailing so actual boarding began at 12:09pm.

No problem. If anyone has any questions, ask away. I will be able to find answers to your questions until we disembark on july 14th.

We arrived at 1020 am. It was too disorganized as the shore side team is inexperienced. I brought this up with yc director and he said they are working on it to make it more seamless. As it stands, my next yc cruise I will arrive at 12pm or later. It was not worth the aggravation to get there at 1030am. Seems yc tent and checkin runs smoother at a later time. I figure they would have this worked out as they dock the davina and seaside so twice a week and it is like deer in headlights.

Great, thanks. We also usually arrive around 10:30, but will show up closer to noon when we sail in January.

Muster drill for yc was in assembly station d which is in the casino. It was organized to get you in but there was no care if you listened or not. Not long at all, shorter than a royal muster for sure.

Where did they hold the muster drill?

Was it disorganized?

Long?

I was in the Royal Suite a Few weeks ago on the Seaside. You can have pizza delivered to your room every day after 4 PM.

Yes, there are different choices but I guess that you can custom order. For some reason, they cut ours into 4 slices for the first 2 orders that we made. We then asked for 8 slices after that since kids can't handle the large slices.

On the Divina I was able to get pizza delivered to my YC suite. I haven’t heard anyone mention this. Can u do it on YC on Seaside?

Thanks for all the info u have already provided!!

Yes my son had pizza delivered the past 2 nights and it is included in yc. The best pizza at sea that I have eaten. Way better than the pizza served in the buffet.

The pizza was cut into 4 slices also. Perfect for a late night snack.

Walked around the ship at 430am. I will tell you they are cleaning everywhere on the outer decks by the pool and seating areas. The decks have chairs, loungers, tables etc stacked up and they are pressure washed every night. MSC takes maintenance seriously for sure.

A yc family mentioned they met a group of people that were drinking at deck 19 bar yesterday afternoon. From talking with group, family found out group were not yc guests. Figured that they just followed behind a yc guest when the doors opened. While walking along deck 19 today, found out that the aurea entrance door does not lock. Usually you have to put your band or cruise card to gain access to yc area, but this door does not lock. Will mention this to allesandro when I see him around.

Food has been very good every meal. The mushroom risotto was delicious, tastier than the risotto at giovanni's restaurant on royal (and it is really good on royal). Had the osso buco and it was very tender and tasty. Not as outstanding as the prime rib but still good. And as always, listen to what Arthur recommends and not. Many cruisers I have talked to, say Arthur has not led them astray with his dining recommendations.

Another standout is bartender Justin in the top sail bar. Always cheery and greeting you with a smile. Even when I walked into top sail this morning at 510 am while he was starting to set up bar.

Have not met pool attendant Olin that everyone raves about. Could be that I have not used a warm tub (because they sure are not hot tubs) or swam in pool on deck 19. Will try to spend some time up on deck 19 but am not a sun worshiper. Have instead spent some great time in the spa thallasotherapy pool and rain showers. Wife loves the heated loungers and Himalayan salt room. I like running into snow room for a minute then back to the pool. Btw the thallasotherapy pool is hotter than the warm jetted tubs I have found in aurea, spa and yc sections. Seems MSC is only heating them to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit or so.

The ship has only felt crowded by the miami beach pool, theatre area when shows let out and main dining room before the doors are opened. I believe the ship feels less crowded because there are so many different bars and areas to hang out and they are sort of sectioned off in their own space.

This floor plan design works in helping to alleviate crowding in spaces. Just has terrible flow through for walking from stern to aft or port to starboard on certain decks.

As always, if you have questions ask away.

Requested Arthur's section with the Maitre D Guiseppe (or Pepe). First night it was hard to accomodate all 7 of us. He suggested that we divide or group into two so that he could seat us in Arthur's section. Arthur for this week is on the starboard side of dining room and his section is comprised of mainly two tops.

When you board ship, you be escorted up to topsail lounge for briefing. After that, yc concierge will go from group to group to ask your name. She will then tell you if your cabin is ready or you might have to wait till 2pm. At the same time, the dining room hostess will circulate and ask you for a preferred dining time. They do not hold you to it as we at one night at 530 and another night at 730. This is probably to give them a general idea of when people will be showing up for dinner.
