Airport transfer from Barcelona to hotel

We are 4 people with maybe 6 pcs of luggage

Can anyone suggest a reliable transfer service?

I would be a), taking a taxi, or possibly 2, and b), researching this on the Spain board, where you will find lots more knowledge and experience.

Taxi. They are fixed price from the airport.

Lower cost alternative is the Aerobus which runs directly from terminal entrance to Plaza Cataluna every 5 minutes and costs about $6.50. See link: http://www.aerobusbcn.com/en/

We did Aerobus, but we only had 1 piece of rolling luggage each... and we were staying just a stone's throw from Placa Catalyna - purchase the tickets right next to the bus, credit cards accepted, so all very easy for us.

But maybe for you 2 taxis would be a better option. I think taxis would be easier than trying to meet up with a pre-paid shuttle. Use the normal precautions with taxis as anywhere... check the price beforehand, if you pay with a large bill make sure they know what denomination it is so they don't palm it and swap it for a small denomination, etc. I think the taxis in Barcelona are better than many places. m--

We have done both a pre-arranged transfer (for 4) and a taxi (for 2). We did not have any problems with either.

WE used Mydriver.com when we disembarked in Barcelona to hotel then 4 days later a driver picked us up to go to the airport. It's all prearranged, good rate, our drivers spoke clear English and we got a picture of the driver picking us up.

We also used them in Hamburg, Germany.
