39august Posted July 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I have looked up some S2's on the "sticky", but some information is conflicting. Can anyone recommend a quiet S2, please? And I would prefer the bed by the bath, but any information is appreciated.
Rare cruisestitch Posted July 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Which ship?
CHEZMARYLOU Posted July 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) 2123 on S class is quiet, we've been in it twice on 2 different ships. 2121 and the other S'2 close to these should also be quiet as well as the suites across from them on the starboard side. The farther back you go the more noise you will have based on others posts. Suites are laid out differently. The closets are in the entry hall way across from the bath room. The beds are by the bath but since the suite is bigger there is more room to move around. There is a picture of a suite on Eclipse: https://www.cruisecritic.com/photos/ships/celebrity-eclipse-413/member-3/47175/ Edited July 31, 2018 by CHEZMARYLOU
Straughn Posted July 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2018 2121-23-25 and 2122-24-26 are under the carpeted areas of the Oceanview. They are about as quiet as it gets in an S2. If you are awake in the early morning, you may hear a cart rolling very faintly in the distance- not directly overhead. Unless you are an extremely light sleeper, it shouldn’t wake you. I only heard it because I was awake and even then it didn’t bother me. The further aft you go, the more noise from above, as well as noise from the Sunset bar two decks up. And you really only hear that on your balcony as background noise.
excitedofharpenden Posted July 31, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Stick to the first three or four each side (from mid ship perspective) because you are under carpet mostly and the wheelie trolleys don't go there. Phil

charleysmom Posted July 31, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I’m on the Equinox now in 2128. It’s had mixed reviews based on noise, but we have had no issues. I’ve heard carts a couple of times, but they have sounded like very distant thunder (and based on the weather we have had, it actually could’ve been thunder rather than carts!) - It’s never been enough to wake either of us up. I feel like some of the cabins that are a bit farther forward might have noise from the crew access door. But I don’t know whether you would be able to hear that in the cabin or not. Rare bjahil47 Posted August 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 1, 2018 We have been in 2155 on Equinox for last 4 cruises. The noise never bothers us. Occasional chair scrapping but not loud. We love the aft!
Wine-O Posted August 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 2, 2018 2114, 2115, 2116, and 2117. Under the carpeted area of the Oceanview Cafe. We were in 2115 and had no issues.
rollie Posted August 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 5, 2018 We were able to move from 2137 to 2114 for our upcoming cruise on the Equinox. I guess we were very lucky. Rollie
