taxmantoo Posted August 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2018 They already have a partnership with Chateau Ste Michelle from Washington State, making it very difficult for them to pick anything else.

cruising cockroach Posted August 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Bring on the Charles Shaw. Naaaah, not exotic enough to charge a premim price and HAL cannot get it cheap enough, even in bulk.

SilvertoGold Posted August 11, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) Yes: Cayuse, Nine Hats, Chateau Ste Michelle and Columbia Crest, all have some good ones. I know HAL stocks the Nine Hats and it is quite potable. Edited August 11, 2018 by SilvertoGold

RocketMan275 Posted August 11, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Love Chateau Ste Michelle.. ;):D YMMV but we do not care for Chateau Ste Michelle. Here's the problem with quality wines. The bar manager of our Country Club told us that he would like to upgrade the wine list but the typical customer wine selection process works like this: white wine fish, red wine beef, we're having beef so what's the cheapest red on the list. And, yes, our club stocks Chateau Ste Michelle. Holland isn't going to pay much more than $3 per bottle for a house wine. Just picked up our wines for our next cruise. Prices ranged from $25 to $50 per bottle.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted August 11, 2018 We also order Chateau Ste Michelle from time to time on a cruise.

Old As Dirt Mom Posted August 11, 2018 #17 Share Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) They make wine in the North West? Never heard of it..... Yes, some of it quite good and renowned. Washington state is # 2 behind you there in California. Oregon pinot noir from the Willamette Valley rivals that of Burgundy in quality. Two really nice road trips are visiting Walla Walla in Washington and the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Old As Dirt Mom Posted August 11, 2018 #22 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Thanks old as dirt mom. You have helped plan my next trip. You're welcome, neighbor (neighbour) to the north! My husband and I have toured British Columbia's beautiful Okanagan wine region, and enjoyed many a wonderful glass of wine there. KroozNut Posted August 11, 2018 #24 Share Posted August 11, 2018 One of our favorite PNW vinyards.. :) https://www.kingestate.com/ In our opinion, their wines rival anything we've had in California's wine country (including Napa Valley).;):D
