BACON227 Posted August 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2018 I have not sailed on the newer ships in the fleet and was curious to know, has Princess, in particular the Regal, upgraded the showers from the attacking curtain to the more modern glass doors? susancruzs Posted August 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2018 I don't know about higher end cabins, but my inside cabin had a shower curtain not doors.
Colo Cruiser Posted August 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Curtains no door unless it’s a suite. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Poulsbo Cruisers Posted August 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2018 We’ve had shower curtains on the Royal and Regal in deluxe balcony cabins. No problem with the shower curtain attacking. I believe the showers are bigger than on the grand class ships.
BACON227 Posted August 21, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Thank you, how about the mini suite showers?
reedprincess Posted August 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Thank you, how about the mini suite showers? As noted above, all shower curtains until you get to full suite. Then it's stand alone shower with glass shower door and separate bathtub..
fishywood Posted August 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Mini suites have a tub/shower combo. So at least the curtain is a little bigger. There are some subtle improvements in the standard shower stalls over the previous generation of Princess ships. The shampoo and body wash dispensers are on the wall opposite the shower head, not underneath the controls (or to the side of them as on Coral and Island). There is a small shelf-like protrusion on the side wall opposite the curtain which I'm told is convenient as a foothold for those who shave their legs. These features arguably add up to a smidge more usable space.
Pam in CA Posted August 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2018 The bathrooms and showers on the Royal and Regal are a bit larger than on other ships. The shower stall is rectangular and has a small shelf for ladies’ legs. Never had an “attack” shower curtain. I just wet the outside edge of the shower stall and stick the curtain to it. Works like a charm.
