Four Star Mariner on HAL, and Silver on Seabourn

We have taken 17 cruises on HAL, and are four star Mariners. Having taken two longer cruises on Seabourn, we are at the silver level with them. Having set our preferences with HAL as far as getting emails on specific itineraries and specials, we receive literally nothing from HAL. No brochures, no emails, nothing. I have to scour their website to see what there is to offer. Seabourn, on the other hand, sends email, brochures, even calls from time to time to see where we are at with our next cruise. Does HAL just assume they have our business? Thoughts.

You might want to check your settings that you have sellected with HAL or correspondence but what I have noticed..

Because I use a PCC to start things off I get a lot more stuff from HAL. snail mail. And email.

My DW went back online and reset our Marketing/Promotional preferences and we are now receiving mailing and emails. I told her that’s the only thing on the website that is working. We are 5 star and hadn’t received a mailing in well over a year.

HAL has been known to put a "marketing hold" on customers who have a current reservation or who regularly book cruises. Ask your PCC to check. We had a "hold" and once removed. we started getting regular offers.

I'd be happy to send the OP and anyone else who is interested all the print brochures and mailings that I receive from HAL and several other cruise lines weekly. (Just send me some $$$ to cover the postage. Haha). We get about 12 pieces per week! Some we look at but some go directly to recycling. I'd like to to stop them from coming from cruise lines that I know I will never sail on, and have tried to discontinue the mailings, but once you're on that list they won't stop.

My first (snarky) reaction is to think of courting a mate--are you going to be more intrigued by the person who constantly pesters you or the one is more aloof?

But I suspect you've just "fallen off" the HAL marketing list somehow. A call to Seattle would probably fix it, and you'll start getting mailers, e-mail, etc. again just like you do from Seabourn.
