How to get Vibe passes on NCL Getaway if you are in Haven

With other scenarious it might be better not to ask the concierge first and go directly to where the passes are sold.

When we cruised on the Breakaway I asked the concierge before we boarded so I had no reason not to follow him to the Haven.

If your case, the concierge was the best option. The problem is that the actual concierge doesn't do the actual boarding as far as what currently happens in my experience. I can see how "ask" is the first option, then "go" is the second if the escort is able to handle the request/inquiry.

There are no cattle prods but no stampedes, either. (hopefully :D)

You can't just bumrush the ship even if a Haven guest.

I mean as the escort takes you onboard, you can just say "...excuse me..I'll take the stairs..." and get your VIBE pass.

Well I wouldn't consider "bumrushing" anyone regardless of my stateroom category. I just prefer going my own way when boarding. Thanks.

9-days September 5 2019:

The cheapest suite on NCL.eu is almost 9000 euro. That must be around $10000.

Posted this in another thread.....

Some of the things NCL, AMEX Platinum and my TA are giving me to sail in an H5 (Haven Suite) on 9/9, fare was a shade over $4K all in.

-$1115 On Board Credit For Cabin

-250 Free Internet Min Per Cabin

-3 Meal Specialty Dining Package

-Dinner For 2 At A French Restaurant

-Shore Excursion $50 Credit Per Port

-Ultimate Beverage Package

Even without the perks, the Haven Penthouse Suite (which isn't even the least expensive Haven Suite) posted above was way, way less expensive than what you posted.

In fairness, the above is for a 7 Day Caribbean sailing on the Getaway. But still, $10K for the Haven in the least expensive suite? You guys in EU are way more expensive.

The price was on their website and what I will have to pay if I want to book the Haven on that cruise. With that price for the cruise the extra for VIBE isn't very much.

Just did a quick look. The only 9-day on Sept 5 I saw out of Europe was on the Breakaway. And that was for a 2-bedroom Haven Family Villa Suite, which is probably the most expensive cabin on the ship (not the least expensive). It sleeps 6 and the price on my end comes to $7,000. That ends up being about $1,167 per person, which isn't bad at all for the Haven.

It's the Getaway from Copenhagen.

Not sure where you're getting your info from because I'm on the Getaway on Sept 9. If it's on a 9 day cruise on Sept 5 originating in Copenhagen, she's not going to reach me in time to sail her out of Miami.

Interesting!

It's from their European site NCL.eu!

Anyone who know how to make a link which allow Americans to access the European site?

(Are you aware that it's September 5 2019 and not 2018?)

I now saw in your signature that you are cruising 2018 but my example is September 5 2019.

I was on the Getaway in the Haven last week so I can end this debate. I requested a Cabana through the concierge phone number before we sailed and they had an envelope with my passes sitting right behind where the conceirge desk is. There is no reason to break away from the group. I have done this 3 times now sailing in the Haven and it has never been an issue. They have always been waiting for me

Ahhhhhh......OK. That makes more sense.

Still, $10K for any Haven Suite seems crazy. Again, not sure why EU pays so much more to book.

To give you another reference point, I’ve never sailed in the Haven (3rd time coming up next week) and paid more than $US 4,500 all in.....twice in the Haven Spa Suite and the upcoming one in the Haven Courtard Penthouse Suite. Those are “all in” prices. And, those do not include all the perks like OBC, UBP, SDP, internet, etc.

Not sure what the exchange rate is between the Euro and the US dollar, however.

As I mentioned, you can book a 2 bedroom Haven Garden Villa Suite when I checked for less than what you looked at for a “cheap” Haven Suite.

Good luck!

That's great in your case but many others have made the same request and nothing was done for them. That's what I mean by the small sliver of risk. There's a chance that counting on someone else won't always work as well as taking the initiative.

Perhaps, being a multi-Haven guest works better than being a first timer..?

Norwegian Epic last year, one week in the Mediterranean, should cost $9000 so we booked MSCs Yacht Club instead.

We have not paid as little as $4500 for any of our three cruises in the Haven, without any OBC, UBP, specialty restaurants etc.

Our last (?) cruise with NCL was in a Forward Facing Penthouse on the Breakaway and if I remember correct we paid around $7000 for that cruise.

So I called the concierge desk today and they said that Vibe passes are not something that can be held by the concierge on board.  They are first come, first serve at Guest Services.

We stayed in the Haven on Getaway the first week of October. Since we had a spa suite I was not interested in Vibe passes but I asked anyway if they were available at the Haven concierge desk and I was told that they were indeed available.

The Vibe (Haven or not) is more hype than anything else.

I totally disagree. The Vibe was great on the Getaway. The bartenders Darwin and Franky were so much fun and the patrons were really nice people that interacted well with each other. Fruit skewers were distributed every morning and platters of cookies every afternoon. If someone was celebrating a special occasion (which seemed to be often) shots were the order of the day. My wife is not a bar person but she loved sitting around the Vibe bar and socializing with other Vibers. The Haven sundeck is about the most boring spot on the entire ship. If that’s what you like, good for you. I’m no party animal but I’d rather have a little more fun!
