Yes, I replied above and I am very happy with the room assignment and with all the money I saved on my little gamble.  We depart Sunday.

SORRY, I missed that post.  I am  struggling with this new  CC   format and have not  adjusted to it.

 

 

I want  the old format    back.       Oh well....

We are still 17 days out but all of our guar category appears to have disappeared from inventory online. There were still 12 cabins (Vista Suites ) yesterday

Might I expect my assignment soon?

We just got our cabin assignment Tuesday which was 12 days out from sailing.  We'd booked  a category VF on Nieuw Amsterdam and was assigned a category VB.  We're happy with the location.

Ugh, we got an offer to upgrade to the Pinnacle Suite last night.  I think it scared my husband but lucky for him I am very, very happy with our Aft Wrap   Although it was pricy, it would have been a steal and probably was a once a lifetime offer.  I hope someone took it and enjoys ever luxurious moment of it!

We got our assignment one week before the cruise departed, but it turned out to be worth the wait.

Thanks!  We have a gty on a 14 day departing 9 December . I wonder if  they’ll allocate the Gty’s for the 7 day cruises first 🤔 .  Our cruise has been sold as a 14 day and also 2x 7 day cruises

MissG, I just saw your question regarding our casino rate. It was an email with a long list of cruises in the offer. It started with a group of free interiors with greatly reduced rates for the other cabin categories including Neptune Suites, the next group was $99 interiors, then $199 interiors, and so on. We wanted the Rotterdam in the first group because we live 45 minutes from the Port of Tampa and cruise most often from there on Carnival. However, the Neptunes were sold out so we selected the Oosterdam our of Ft. Lauderdale. All the cabin selections were guarantees and the whole cost had to be paid for when booked, no deposit with the balance due later. Haven't sailed on the Oosterdam, so looking forward to the cruise very much.

If anything, I think it would be the other way around. If they allocate a cabin to someone on the first 7-day, that takes the cabin out cf contention for any 14-day bookings. They could conceivably have no cabins left for 14-days after the 7's are done.

I actually thought of that after I posted.  The anticipation is bordering on the need for stronger blood pressure meds.. 🤪
