I agree love easy uber to port and quick embarkation and debarkation.

agree!!!! they get you in, unloaded, and in the terminal FAST. no huge backlog of cars like Canaveral. getting off is just as nice. we will often pick cruises out of tampa over Canaveral just because Tampa's is so easy. plus love going under the skyway bridge

We had a different experience.  The worst disembarkation of greater than 70 cruises!  Took forever. All employees were grouchy and ill.  Allowing only a few on escalator at a time.  Maybe it was just today but it was awful.

myparkconnect.com, we are going on Brilliance of the seas 2/28 -3/4/19 and with this website are parking in the parking garage for $28 for the cruise duration.

Kelbell, I assume you read my report on the “Port of Tampa Parking” thread and saw how great I thought myparkconnect.com was.  Thank you for the reminder; I just booked again for the Brilliance on 1/31/19 for a total of $29.96.

My DIL and I are flying into Tampa the day before our departure in March and I am trying to figure out one night of accommodations with transportation to and from the airport. Is it better to stay near the airport and get transportation to the port in the morning, or stay near the port?   Don't know anything about the area so hard to chose hotels.  Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Check with hotels in the Rocky Point area...I believe they have transportation to the port.

We've booked the Hampton Inn in the Rocky Point area.  Has anyone stayed there?  If so, do you remember if there any decent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.  Thanks.
