jerbeth Posted September 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Does anyone know what time fresh coffee is available in the morning? How does it compare with the coffee in the buffet vs. Cafe El Bacio?
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Its just a vat of coffee, same as what is in the dispensers in the buffet. Self-serve. It’s no comparison to the freshly made espresso-based coffees served in Cafe al Bacio.
cltnccruisers Posted September 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2018 On Silhouette this past March there was fresh coffee at 6:30 AM. There was also hot water for tea and hot cocoa. Nothing fancy- just basic coffee. It got replenished through the morning, at least on sea days, then again in the evening. It served our needs well enough that we booked our cabin for Reflection in 2019 in part to be close to it.
jerbeth Posted September 11, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Thank you for the information. We are in an angled hump cabin on deck 8 in a few weeks and my husband is now looking forward to a much shorter walk in the morning for his DW's early coffee.;):D
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Which ship? You know that they don’t all have this.
Rare Essiesmom Posted September 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2018 We were just on Equinox, which has Team Earth where the Hideaway is on Silhouette. There was no coffee service there, but that's where the concierge and Captain's Club host had their desks. EM
pbrady Posted September 11, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 11, 2018 We were in the Silhouette mid-February in a hump room right on the 7th floor. I was told twice the coffee was from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm however, I found 7:30 was wishful thinking many days as they would just show up at 7:30 and then it would take about 30 minutes to be ready. I never look at night so I cannot comment on the take down time.

Depends on who is responsible, maybe.
jerbeth Posted September 11, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Which ship? You know that they don’t all have this. We are on the Silhouette TA from Southampton so will hope that whoever is responsible is an early riser.;)
kenevenpar Posted September 11, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Isn't there always coffee in the Oceanview? I was up before 5:00 every morning in August, and it was ready there.

But probably not until we're both retired in a few years.

Probably, and it is likely the same coffee as The Hideaway. I much prefer that quiet, relaxing location over Oceanview.
