Looking for hotel at Rome airport

My husband and I are going on the September 17th 2019, 12 day cruise on the Celebrity Infinity that starts in Rome.We are planning on going a day before and staying at the Rome Airport.

Can anyone suggest a hotel or Inn at the airport? Thank you...

A quick read around the board would find there is a Hilton right in the airport. Nice hotel, has a free shuttle to downtown.

 

That being said, can't think of many who would suggest staying at the airport. Rome is far too great a city to pass up, even if you only have a few hours.

We've stayed at the Rome Hilton at the airport. An easy walk from the airport-I think it was mainly through the parking garage. We took the shuttle into town for touring and then back to the hotel. The last day we went into town and then took the train to the port. A very nice hotel.

In addition to the Hilton that is attached to the airport, there is also a Hilton Garden Inn in the grounds of the airport. It's not walkable but there is a shuttle that rounds a near constant round between the Hilton, a couple of distant parking lots, and the various airport terminals. It's very handy. I prefer it to the main Hilton as you actually have to walk less with your bags. However, I don't think it has a shuttle into Rome.

Since you'd have to take their transport back to the airport, it would be faster to just take the train from the airport into Rome.

We have stayed twice at this hotel: http://www.comforthotelfiumicino.com/en/ They offer shuttle service to and from the airport. It is located "in town" so there are restaurants, shops and a grocery story all close by.
