B2B Cabin change

Hang up as many clothes as possible on hangers (double, triple, etc hang). Throw everything else in your suitcases. They will move your luggage and the hanging clothes. Tell your steward and your new steward as well that you're B2B. Check with guest services to be sure you are on the consecutive cruisers list so that they tell you where and when to meet to check off the cruise as a group and back on again. If there are 25+ B2Bers they may offer a lunch in the MDR.

As a B2Ber you can access your new cabin as soon as you reboard.

You will have a meeting 2/3 days before the end of your 1st cruise to go over the procedures with you, so you should get a notice on when & where that meeting will be. Check with Guest Services to make sure they have you down as a returning passenger. Double check the safe and drawers before leaving to make sure you have everything as as stated, pack all your clothes except those hanging and your room steward will move for you.

On many ships now, they don’t have a meeting before turnaround day. They didn’t on Liberty in August. We got the sheet shown below. We went to the Star Lounge and left from there as a group off the ship, “dinged” out with the old seapass, through immigration in the terminal, given the new seapass and “dinged” back in on the ship (we didn’t go ashore).

There were 45 of us, and they had a nice lunch for us (not done all the time). Very orderly. Very nice.

As far as help moving, we were able to get the cabin next door for week 2, so we had the same stateroom attendant. As we unpacked week 1, we hung up most everything but we also use packing cubes,so we unzip those and put them in the drawers and shelves in the closet unzipped anyway, so it was easy to pack. We both have a habit of checking the safe so both of us look there.

For us, if we know we are moving cruise 2, we are more careful with where we put things so things won’t be left behind.

Having the same attendant was nice, but we’ve done it when we couldn’t do that and it went just fine. This time, moving next door, our cabin attendant cleaned the cabin next door first, and we moved then, put our valuables and meds in the safe, before we ever left the ship for immigration. Easy Peasy.

Usually those cruises are ones we book a month or two ahead. We have 23 nights in a row next Spring on Serenade TA and Baltics, in the same cabin.

Either way, hey, I’m on a cruise.

Haven’t had a meeting for the last five years or so. You will receive instructions in your cabin.

We’ve had to change cabins many time. For us, we have found the best thing to do Is for us to move our suitcases into the new room. And then let the room attendants move hanging clothes. Then when we are back on the ship after going through customs, we start unpacking the few items suitcases.

Good luck

M

Nice lunch on Liberty and met some nice B2B cruisers. Had suitcases moved no problem, but my liquor got lost. Had 2 bottles brought on the last night and asked if we should move a couple bottles of rum and my steward (whom we loved) said he would look after it. Never saw it again, called guest services at the end of week 2, no one knew, got a credit from gues services along with an apology but the rum(Big Black Dick😳) not available outside of grand Cayman. So I guess the moral is, if there is anything you can't lose, don't leave it.

Our one & only B2B was from the 18 day Transpacific to the Hawaii and we did have a meeting 2 days before. Since we had done immigration at our stop in Lahaina, we were able to get our new cards around 6:30 AM at guest Services then leave the ship. For those that picked up their new cards from 9 AM on, they had to wait until everyone in the dining room received theirs then they could leave. My next B2B won't be until the FOS in 1 1/2 yrs.
