Love your review!

So appreciate your ink pen - back when I was young, they were my favorite pen for writing letters (yes, we didn't have e-mail back then!). I went through tons of ink cartridges and still think about those pens.

It's getting even hotter... Shade is becoming harder to find. I continued walking. Like I said before, many of the places that are normally open aren't. I wanted to find something else good to eat for all of the effort and stress it took to get to this point... I went in one place and checked out their menu, and nothing really blew me away. I wandered some more, and found a place that I had marked on my hand drawn map, and it was opened... At this point, with the heat and the bugs, I really just wanted to have one more meal and head back to catch my flight... I ordered the fried whole fish with coleslaw and rice and peas... They also had fresh squeezed fruit juices, so I had a watermelon and pineapple...

By this time, the bugs are just swarming around me. I'm cursing at swatting at them, but it was just too much. On top of that, I'm trying to eat a whole fish with the bones and all, and try not to choke myself to death with a sharp fish bone.

After eating, I had the owner of the restaurant call me a golf cart to take me back to the airport... I was running a bit early, but after the heat and the bugs I was just ready to head back...

*** Just an aside here. The other night at the Alchemy Bar a couple I was talking to about my endeavor to get to Caye Caulker was telling me about a friend from back home who had moved there. They said "yeah, just ask anyone in town, they'll know who you're talking about"

I arrived at the airport and checked in. I was just glad to get out of the heat into some AC, and away from the bugs. About that time, a guy walked in and said my name is so and so, and I'm here to catch my flight. Well, Mr so and so turned out to be the guy that they had talked about... I can't believe that I come all the way here and actually run into the one person that I even have any knowledge whatsoever of... Like they say, it's a small small world...

So that was like a real life cliff hanger :) Kept wondering all day if you made any/all of your connections, if not where would you be posting from??? It was nice to get home from work and check in to see that other than the bugs and the heat....your schedule went as planned. Do you collect souvenirs from each place you visit in addition to tickets and photos?

Soon, my plane arrived and I was heading back towards Belize City in plenty of time to make it back to the ship... Here's a few pics of the flight in the small propeller plane.

I used to collect rocks and shells from all the ports, but I have so many random rocks and shells, it makes no sense anymore... I also used to get my mom a refrigerator magnet at every port, but stopped for the same reason.

Have a mission for you. See how many cabin doors are decorated with pineapples.

It’s also a pretty entertaining thread. [emoji3]

I think that pineapples are a royal Caribbean thing... I actually sailed with cruise life Rick on his first NCL Escape live review cruise...

Well it’s partially a RC thing with pinnacles. But the underlining joke is folks with pineapples [emoji531] on doors and say in a shopping cart upside down are swingers. Go read the thread for a fun chuckle.

Pretty soon I was boarding the tender (now referred to as a water shuttle) back to the ship. This was the largest tender I have ever been on. It must have held 500 passengers. Luckily I positioned myself right by where we would debark back at the ship. My mission was complete. I had made it there and back again without much more than a few (several) bug bites... Caye Caulker is a really cool place, but I would do my research on the bug season if I ever go back there... I was now back on board, and unpacked my level 1 bug out bag. I will need to prepare another level 3 bug out bag for tomorrow in Cozumel. My battery is about to die here at Alchemy, so I'll have to continue the rest of today tomorrow... That is, if I can remember where I left off... For the record, after my shower I went to Alchemy and then to the MDR for elegant night dinner... Until tomorrow morning, farewell... And, nanoo nanoo

Ugh!

I love pineapples and have many shirts and even flip flops with pineapples on them.

I recently found a clothing brand called 'Love and Pineapples' and purchased quite a few of their shirts.

Now I'm worried about wearing those shirts in public. [emoji15] [emoji23]

It’s a west wind that bring them to the beach here on the Jersey Shore. Can’t stand them. They attack some people more than others like mosquitos and I happen to be one they love so I feel your pain. Deet is the only thing that gives you a chance. Spent a week at the end of August on OBX beach and the flies were horrible all week! I used more deep woods bug spray than sunscreen.

Still enjoying your adventures! Thanks again for taking the time.

Looks like a beautiful day in Cozumel today... I just had a near miss by a large hot coffee at the plaza cafe. The girl was placing my cup on the counter, and it bumped another. I could see it, as if in slow motion, coming towards me. I leaped backwards about two feet, and luckily didn't catch a single drop of the molten hot liquid...

Also, they seem to have run out of the cardboard sleeves for the cups, so they're stapling napkins around them.

Since I was trying to maintain continuity to the narrative, I still had not gotten to last night when my phone died. I will just lay it down in picture form, just to get caught up.

Also, there seems to be something wierd going on with the pictures uploading this morning. It appears on my phone that they're double posting. Anyhoo, we move forward...

Do you have the premium wi-fi package to be able to post so well?
They call it premium, but sometimes it doesn't work at all... Last night I ran down half my battery trying to upload a few pictures. It said I had a full signal, but nothing was happening. Ravi at Alchemy said it's pretty spotty sometimes.

Getting ready for Cozumel... I found a few pics from dinner last night that I thought were deleted or lost.

Crab cake and filet mignon... The MDR filet was pretty good... Better than the ribeye in the steak house the other day. The crab cake was pretty good too.IMG_20181004_185228113.thumb.jpg.ddc66ff5e9278b4e57fa00d665048675.jpg

As of right now, my gratuities still haven't been posted to my account... I figured that would have happened by now. I'm hoping my OBC ends up covering that, as well as my dinner at the steak house and Italian restaurant. With any luck, it will also cover the bottled water that they ended up charging me for...
