spudman9 Posted October 24, 2018 #357 Share Posted October 24, 2018 True story.. I was a leader on the advance party from the US military circa 1988 to aid the then newly established country of St Kitts help remove a sunken freighter from their main dock. They had no ability to get rid of it and consequently could not bring in cruise ships. We coordinated with the government and shortly thereafter brought down an underwater diving crew from the US Navy out of Norfolk to cut up the freighter, haul away and clear the port area. So in some small way I am responsible for you visiting St Kitts... thank you and you can leave a diamond drink coupon at the windjammer for me (since we all know they are shareable... hehe).
Rare countess5 Posted October 24, 2018 #358 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Carib beer the best! We buy it here in the states during summer to bring that Carib vibe to the north! Red Stripe so over done. 🍸
ChicAgo_Cruiser43 Posted October 24, 2018 #359 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Andrew- Enjoy living vicariously through you so much that I moved onto your live of your March sailing on the Harmony. I'll be on at the end of November so these help pass the time while I should be working. Since you clearly enjoy a good drink or 6, try out the Sandy Collins at Schooner. I've yet to be on an Oasis class but it is a staple of mine on the Freedom and Voyager ships so I'm hoping it has found its way to the Harmony. It's Crown, maple syrup (eh?), and ginger beer- a very refreshing drink on a hot afternoon or before dinner Cheers, Brad

Rare bobmacliberty Posted October 24, 2018 #361 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Another great video Andrew. Doesn't get much better than drinking a Painkiller in a beach bar with that view.

I love the blue of the Caribbean that you captured perfectly at the end of the video. Sorry to hear about the GoPro. You are giving me a little inspiration to try a “live from Harmony” when we board for the last sailing in November. I have only done reviews after a return, but I may have to give it a try. Enjoy.

Rare A&L_Ont Posted October 24, 2018 Author #367 Share Posted October 24, 2018 (edited) And this was awaiting me in our room... butter tarts with the Canadian flag. WTH, Barry you trying to take me out. Everyone knows that 99% of butter tarts contain raisins. Just change cookie to tart in this meme and boom! They already tried earlier today. I must stay vigilant. Edited October 24, 2018 by A&L_Ont 1

I would expect nothing less from a college football fan. It isn't like they had a Canadiens magnet on their door and you wrote go Leafs! Guess that might cause real problems. I am sure they will appreciate your response. I will not ask for anything else and let you enjoy your cruise.
Rare mil76 Posted October 24, 2018 #370 Share Posted October 24, 2018 I knew it would be painful to open this thread after being on Harmony last week. On 10/22/2018 at 8:18 PM, A&L_Ont said: These bots were working for a living. They weren't working for most of last week's cruise. I assume they had to get back to FL to fix them. Good to hear you are getting some good riding in and the lines are manageable. Last week we had about 6 of us with our own boards, but not much newbie traffic so the line was mostly under 8 until the last day. One of the regulars last week was staying in your suite, and it was hilarious to see his DW come out on the balcony and cut him off from there. DS 16 beat me in BOTB for the third straight cruise. He also won the double by taking King of the 360s on boogie. Speaking of BOTB, the sports deck crew was pretty checked out since a bunch of them were on their last week and moving on to Symphony. They didn't do nominations for BOTB during the advanced hour on the last day, and didn't realize it until mid afternoon and then just started putting anyone who asked on the list. They also skipped the Flow Show completely. Hopefully they have their act together this week.

You can hear the Boston fans talking, that after the win they are headed to the pub for a rippah and a wicket pissa. Thanks to Maureencruiser I speak some Boston.
