I remember when Ms. Verity Brown was the assistance Cruise Director on the MS Paul Gauguin, when it was being chartered by Regent Seven Seas.  Any idea how long she will be on the Odyssey?

Arrival in Ibiza Town yesterday.   Weather was much better then.

After breakfast we walked up to the old town (Dalt Vila).

The whitewashed streets haven’t changed since the last time I was here in the early 2000s.

On leaving the old town, a local folklore group were setting up to perform for a small group of visitors.

I am enjoying it also. Thanks galeforce9. I was in many of the same ports on the Ovation a couple of weeks ago and didn’t see many these locations or saw them from a different perspective. Makes you want to go back.

Beautiful photos "galeforce9" of a very stylish Cartagena we were lucky to visit on the 8th of September '18 on Encore. The day was similar , damp and grey but did not distract from this lovely city. Apparently the latter part of the year is the best time to visit as the wide streets are crowded during peak summer season. We loved the mix of architecture making it unique and with a special vibe.

My photo is not in the same league as galeforce9's.

Sunny today in Valencia, our last port of call before disembarkation in Barcelona tomorrow.  There’s a very cold wind blowing though.  A firm grip of everything (nachos, beer glasses, napkins) has just been required at the Patio Grill lunch.

A shuttle bus has been running into the centre of Valencia from the port today. It started at 9am and runs at half hourly intervals, with the last one leaving at 4.30. It can take up to half an hour but because of the one way system, the journey back is quicker.  It drops you the other side of a big bridge over a dry river bed that is now a well used park. A huge gate stands at the other side and is the entrance to the old town.

Then follows a nice walk through some narrow streets, heading for the Cathedral.

The area around the cathedral is a lovely spot.  It started quiet, when we arrived about 9:45 but was much busier towards lunchtime.
