It's not our first choice, but it will do if the Hyatt Place, Embassy Suites, Renaissance, and Hilton Marina are higher than we want to pay. Other times, we've rented a car and stayed at hotels away from 17th Street to get down to what we want to pay.

This pretty much sums it up.

I have stayed there tho' not recently - cleanliness was OK and the location and price were right.

If it matters to you, check their smoking policy.   It may have changed recently, but the last time we stayed in one, in spite of ordering a non-smoking room, our room reeked and they claimed to have nothing else available.   The halls and lobby also smelled of smoke.   We wondered why it was so bad and finally guessed that since so many hotels now ban smoking entirely, all the smokers had gravitated to Extended Stay.
