Which restaurants would you pick ???

  We will be on the Star in March.

We have 3 free specialty dining options.

Which restaurants should we book? Same restaurant more than once ?

We are elderly and prefer food that in not really spicy.

we love hibachi so Teppanyaki is an easy choice.  

 

Cagneys was pretty strong, too.  mmmmm steak!

 

my wife LOVED the lasagna at Cucina, said it might be her favorite ever. 

 

I think Bistro would be a safe choice for "non-spicy". 

 

we did the Brazilian steak restaurant and it was, as expected, a lot of meat.  I really don't like to eat THAT much on vacation but if that's in your sweet spot it's a great place.  i didn't expect to like the salad bar as much as i did.  bonus!

Those would be my choice, but Cagney's doesn't do lobster anymore (you get shrimp) and we like the new Mexican restaurant as well as La Cucina.

everyone seems to have a different idea: I think in order we like:

Le Bistro 

Moderno's (but not as well as we used to)

La Cucina. 

Tapayaki (but it is a lot of food)

Cagney's is good: don't like the idea of an extra $5 for surf and turf when it is just shrimp plus we have never gotten really good service there. Don't know why, but we just haven't . They seem to always be super crowded and we feel either rushed or ignored.

Teppanyaki (if you like Asian food) or if you don’t like Asian food 

Moderno (Brazilian steakhouse) Go very hungry!

Moderno, Cirque show (small upcharge but worth it), and Cagneys. I don't think the Star has the Cirque show so I would do either Le Bistro or Teppanyaki for third choice.

Teppanyaki is waaaay too loud even with earplugs in but the

food is very good

 

Moderno's meat was not as good as the other venues

 

LeBistro the portions are very very small

Teppanyaki. I absolutely love it and will do it every vacation.

 

La Cucina.. people have been so-so on this, but I have consistency enjoyed it every time.

 

Cagneys.  I personally think they are a bit overrated, but can’t pass up a steam restaurant.

Obviously, Cagneys is a go. I was able to find a current menu online for there

I have searched and not been able to find CURRENT menus for the other restaurants.

Either to old or snapshots people have taken of the menus that I cannot read. I was surprised on the NCL site I could not find any.

Anyone know of a site I can find the other menus ?

I agree the servings at Le Bistro are small, that would be my only complaint. I don't mind the noise in Teppanyakis but I don't like the huge servings there or maybe it is just too too too much rice.
