posting a link

ok  maybe this has been answered already   but

 

When you post a link for CC into a reply it shows  like  this

 

is there  a way  to just show the link  & not  embed  the thread starter post (if you understand  what I mean)

In the old forum  the link would just show  as  a link

Am I missing  a setting someplace ?

The only way I see is to use the insert link button

When I post a link it looks like this:

 

Clicking the black bar at the bottom of the reply window turns it into an actual link:

[John&LaLa]

I like the new link, gives you an idea what about.
