Pictures taken between Monday, November 5 and Sunday, November 11.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

At the end of the flight back to Southern California from a working week in Chicago, the Santa Ana winds gave us a bit of a jolt as we came in over the mountain pass. When the winds are blowing at their typical 50 mph, planes change their flight path and circle to approach from the west. As the plane made the last bank before landing I noticed we were going to fly right over my neighborhood and scrambled to get my camera out to snap this week's picture. Fred McFeely Rogers would have given his approval without blinking an eye. At 78° with gemstone blue skies and air so clear you could count the trees on the mountains, it truly was a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Here were the wetlands this past weekend:

An anhinga also got himself a fish for dinner - a bigger one too:

It's Florida, so you just can't always escape the rain...whether you're a tricolor heron just giving up and standing on a rail accepting his fate, or a photographer caught out with no shelter for 1/4 mile in any direction, who also accepts his fate, and photographs the tricolor heron:
