We parked there twice and never had any issues.  Just make sure to take the exit left to the parking garage and do not circle the roundabout down below to drop off luggage.  There is luggage drop off in the parking garage.

I just saw a video that showed the guests dropping off luggage in the garage once they entered. Does it create congestion/a bottleneck at the entrance to the garage?

The two times we arrived was at 10:30 and we sailed right through without a wait.  There are lots of porters there to help. 
 

the real congestion is on ground level for passenger drop off.....terrible.

I guess that they have to grab our luggage in the garage since we go from there to inside the terminal via elevator. Luggage check in usually takes place outside the terminal. 🙂

As you are driving in to the port the ramp to the garage is to the left, if you go straight you get caught in the chaos.

 

The elevator does not take you into the terminal just down to ground level to join everyone else waiting to enter the terminal

I was looking into parking at the terminal and found this nice video:

My very nervous relative is a visual person so he will appreciate seeing the video before heading to the terminal. I'm sending along some screen shots to him as well. A see a free beer in my future cruise ... 😜

You enter the garage and get a parking ticket. Then you drive up to the third floor to drop off your luggage and then park. We have always gotten there by 10:30 and have been able to park right on the third floor.
