Prinsendam Muster drill location

My last 2 cruises were on the Koningsdam and I really enjoyed the indoor muster drill.  Got spoiled!  

Can someone tell me where is the muster drill location on Prinsendam?  Still outside?  Thanks in advance.

Not exactly.  Yes, it is outside under the boats but I think it COULD be done inside with the dining room, dining room annex, Pinnacle Grill, Ocean Bar, and lobby as muster stations.  However, as Chengkp75 gas said, once an emergency plan is set up it is a very complicated process to change it.

While it is indeed difficult and costly to change the emergency plans, the simple fact is that SOLAS requires that the muster station be as close to the boats as possible, given the size/space requirements for a muster station.  So, it's not that there is not enough space inside (though floor space and volume are only a couple of the design requirements for muster locations), but that there is enough space outside.  So, if there is sufficient space outside on deck, that is where the muster station will be, and that won't be allowed to change.

Although QM2 has a very wide, spacious promenade below the lifeboats, the muster stations are all in interior public spaces.

 

I think in her case the intended use as a liner in the North Atlantic doing ocean crossings in all seasons may have been a factor in muster stations being inside and out of any adverse weather.

The question was not answered. Which deck is the Muster held (on the Princendam)?

That would be deck 7, lower promenade.  One difference between Prinsendam and other HAL ships is the deck numbering system.  Deck 1 must be the bilge areas as decks 1 to 3 are off limits to passengers.  Deck 4 is mostly off limits except for a couple of meeting rooms and the tender platform.  Decks 5 and 6 are the lowest passenger decks with the lifeboats on deck 7.  Deck 8 is mostly public rooms, 9 and 10 are verandahs and suites, and the lido is on 11.

 

And the OP did not ask which deck, he/she asked inside or outside.

Sorry, I took the OP’s question as to which deck AND if it was inside or outside. Thank you for the answer. We will be on deck 8 so it will be easy.
