Shareholder OBC in casino or gratuities?

I'm sure in the past I've used my shareholder OBCs in the casino & also for the daily gratuities. But when filling out my form tonight it states "This offer cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities." Has anyone had recent experience using the credits for either of these items? And I imagine these credits are not refundable at the end of the cruise? Thank you.

Once you're on the ship, it doesn't seem to matter. Your OBC is on your account, and they deduct the gratuities from it each day. And you can charge to your card in the casino and that amount gets deducted as well.

OBC can be used for anything that is charged to your account. This includes the gratuities that are automatically charged each day. On the other hand you cannot get cash at the front desk to use for tipping staff either instead of or in addition to the autotips.

 

I don't know about the casino.

Shareholder OBC is just another credit posted to your on board account. The credits in total are netted in real time against every on board expense including daily grats. and any casino costs charged to your account.
