Celebrity Edge or Virgin Scarlet Lady?

These both look like fun! We really are very excited to pick our first cruise. Something modern and hip is the way to go, Right?!?! The first are Celebrity and next Virgin, Teehee.

You know what? If my son isn't there I would love to see all the NEW WORLD of options on EITHER SHIP!  We should mostly remember that not matter what, times are a-changin'.

 

I just need to convince Seth to grow cute little beard that's popular right now, I'd appreciate it very much!! I will try to get some good pics of him with the barber if he does!!

From what I've seen so far, I'd take a chance on the Virgin Scarlet Lady.  The Edge does not appear to have the WOW factor for me.  I think the faceless people are Goofy.  I'm sorry, Celebrity prefers the word quirky.

I, too, would pick the Edge. The Scarlet Lady doesn't seem to be my cup of tea. Not to mention that I'm probably too old to fit Virgin's demographic. I'm also not crazy about the pics I've seen, other than the overall style of the ship.

The adults only aspect of Virgin cruises definitely makes it a lot more appealing! I think they are very smart to do something that no other mainstream US cruise line has done yet.

Recently sailed on Viking Star.  Also no kids under 18 allowed.  Compared to X found VO to be be superior in food and service plus lots of inclusions.  All without having to pay up for a suite.  For us only negatives were small ship entertainment and no casino.

Right?  Branson even has space flights right now! Although he's made missteps along the way, his heart is always in the right place. it’s super exciting to see what he'll do with the cruise ship!

Honesty, trying a new ship is exciting.  I do not like having to pay up front for Viking, but that is just one negative, as  gambling and lots of nightlife are not important to me.  I am on Edge the end of April for TA, but have not put anything down on VC; however, it may be a possibility.  It is just nice to have a new variety of options...especially since pricing keeps increasing!

The Edge is ugly to me. I wanted to fall in love with the new Virgin ship, but it looks cold to me in decor. DH and I prefer a warm, nautical feel on ships. That said, with what you said you’re looking for, I think Virgin is the way to go. It’s adults only and will be the most unusual cruise experience afloat, it seems. The net in the back looks fun, and there’s inclusive fun restaurant options.

You know what?  I see that Eden and that graffiti on Edge isn't for me.  Virgin is at least really going out there, and kinda starting from scratch what cruising should be like NOWADAYS. Current invereview

I agree with that! I seriously need to do another trip ASAP, but not on Edge. Some of the decor and shows look super weird. Sadly, the infinity balconies aren't a hit. I hope they fix it soon, though!!
