Largest TA selling cabins cheaper

Something is not right. “Cruises” total payment is Cheaper than RCCL on their site. 

This is a violation of RCCL. 

When I call Royal, they won’t honor the price. 

I called “Cruises” and asked them about this. The unknowledgeable person kept talking about port charges. 

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for a long time. No one ever picked up. 

Royal said their policy is still the same. No website can advertise a lower price. But this large TA IS!

Royal said when you call they can offer a lower price because of group bookings, etc., but NOT on their website. 

Anyone else noticing this?

who do I email about this violation?

I want the lower price. 

Example: 4B 3/15 Navigator Royal says $1657. “Cruises” says $1491. 

Big difference when you use the 150%.

If you are talking about 3/15 of 2019 then the TA is not advertising group space as all group space is recalled by Royal at 120 days prior to sailing or around November 15th.

 

edit.  Just checked. There are no balcony cabins on Royals site available.

Why does this bother you ?? Let those who want to book with the TA do so.

Book with the TA.   I don’t see the big issue.    What would reporting the problem do? The only thing I can see happening is the TA increacing their rate to match RC.  RC isn’t going to lower their rate.  What am I missing?

No one.  The cabin is no longer available. You can’t prove anything.  The price protection only comes into play if you’ve already booked it through Royal.

You can complain all you want.

 

But I will bet nobody at RC really cares or does anything.

 

You have no merit to make them change their price.

 

This is the exact reason I don't book direct with RC and never book on board.

 

As you are now finding out it really isn't a good deal......
