X1HYCB Posted December 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2018 A friend asked me if a Princess Elite can be an Elite in a Carnival Line since they belong to the Carnival Fleet? I don't know that's why I brought this up.
fishywood Posted December 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2018 Sorry no, there is no reciprocity of loyalty status between the different lines owned by the same parent company that owns Princess (Carnival Corporation). And don't expect any in the future: before acquisition by their current parent Princess, P&O Europe, and (now-defunct) Sitmar all counted towards each other's statuses. But supposedly due to anti-trust laws the schemes had to be severed when Carnival Corporation changed its plans from simply acquiring Princess from P&O to purchasing both cruise lines and operating them separately. (Acknowledgement of prior combined cruises did continue until very recently). Yes I know there is status reciprocity between the different lines owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCI, X, Azamara et al). How they are able to do so I've not a clue.

Rare TracieABD Posted December 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2018 Years ago, HAL would give you 1 Star Mariner credit if you had some status on Princess. Do they still do that?
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 22, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2018 They still recognize you as a past passenger if you have sailed another Carnival brand. EM
