Allure Disembarkation in Miami???

Our Oasis cruise in March has been cancelled and we have transferred to the Allure cruise out of Miami.  But we are still flying into and out of Orlando, so we have to drive rental cars.  If the ship docks on time in Miami, at 6:45, and we do a walk off with our luggage, what time can we probably be off the ship and in a taxi to the car rental office?  What time should we get "in line"? This would be on a Sunday.  We have never cruised on a ship as large as the Allure, nor from Miami.  Also, does port of Miami use the Mobile Passport App (not Global Entry)?  We have been able to use it in Port Everglades, but last week they were not accepting it.  Any information/advice is welcome.  Thank you.

In Miami National, Alamo, Thrifty & Enterprise offer free shuttles between POM and their MIA airport location.  If you get a better deal from someone else at MIA a taxi will run about $27+tip or  you can Uber for about $20

Hertz, Avis and others have downtown offices close to POM and usually offer shuttles, but are sometime overwhelmed with cruisers, leading to delays even if you have a car reserved.

Have a great cruise! :classic_cool:

I'd go one better: Go online and find another local office that's open on Sunday morning for rental car pickup.  Perhaps something just north of downtown Miami.  When you get off, take an uber (friends don't let friends take taxis!) to that location.  DEFINITELY avoid the downtown locations as they are always backed up.  This also avoids the inevitable traffic and congestion at the airport.

We disembarked yesterday.

Even though the facial recognition scanners were not working there were a lot of CBP agents.  We walked off the ship just after 8:30, picked up our luggage, cleared customs, stowed the luggage in our car and were driving through the tunnel to the airport before 9:00 am.

Agree, my Daughter has had great experiences with Uber, me I'll use either Uber or Taxi

It sounds like you were able to walk straight off at that time once the initial rush has gone? We are on Allure in a few weeks with an 11AM flight out of MIA. Thanks for the feedback.

Make sure you've checked your account and all is ok before departure morning.  Getting off Allure was really bad a couple of weeks ago as there were huge queues at guest services as some people weren't allowed off the ship due to billing issues that seemed to be Allure problem and not theirs.  Very few guest relations staff to sort everything out.
