golfer1903 Posted January 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2019 does anyone know the current cost of the bingo cards on carnival . and for how many cards and or is the different packages and if so do you know the cost. second questions. is bingo played everyday ? or how many times on a 7 day cruise? thanks
Vinden Posted January 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2019 It’s expensive, like 20.00 for 3 single cards. I think they play daily, have to check your daily Carnival Times for times of play.
Nursecruiser52716 Posted March 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2019 We played Bingo on the Pride last month. It was $40 for three cards and a bonus card. They pull you in by advertising $5,000 payout but there are stipulations with the number of balls played. It is fun but now with digital play, I feel it is a less genuine opportunity to win. BigBuoys Posted March 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2019 It’s daily, sometimes 2-3 times a day on sea days. It’s pricey to play and the winnings aren’t that great compared to the cost to play. $100 to win some games regardless if 5 or 500 play. Biggest ripoff on the ship - and I like bingo. Now I only play one time a sailing, usually the half-off price session.
deadmoney Posted March 2, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2019 My wife loves bingo, she probably drops a couple of hundred every cruise😥
pusywillow Posted March 3, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2019 You get a small win after paying too much to play. Save your money!
coevan Posted March 3, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2019 The assistant cruise director said the $5000 has paid out 4 times in the last 7 years fleet wide. The "rake" is huge, just take an estimated guess at how many people buy $20 cards and then they pay out $100.
PlanoDebbie Posted March 3, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 3, 2019 It was $10 back in 1994 when we went on our first cruise and I thought that was outrageous. I think they would get more people to play if it wasn't so dang expensive. I won't waste my money on Bingo.

richfret Posted April 3, 2019 #17 Share Posted April 3, 2019 Here's a Bingo story for you. This happened to me on the Conquest a couple of weeks ago. Went to play Bingo and was told to sit down and cards would be sold to me. I saw a gal selling cards across the theater and I motioned to her that I would come to buy one. She smiled and waved that she was coming to me. On the way, she stopped and sold some Bingo cards and accompanying scratch off tickets to some ladies in the front row. She then proceeded to me but on the way there was considerable commotion and cheering. Turns out, one of the ladies had just won $1,000 on the scratch off ticket she had just purchased. ....................... Yep!!!! That was my to be Bingo card and scratch off ticket. I didn't win at Bingo either!
crusinpsychRN Posted April 3, 2019 #18 Share Posted April 3, 2019 On my first cruise when I was 13 my grandmother got mad at me for being so distant doing all kinds of things. She told me I had to play bingo which I thought was just for old people. I won $22.

If you've ever played bingo before, you've used one most likely.

Too expensive though, I agree

I waited in line to buy a package which included 4 of the long pulltabs. The lady in front of me forgot her sign and sail card, so she told me to go ahead of her since she was waiting for her husband to bring it to her. I got the package she would have bought...one of my pulltab cards won $2000 !! I don't know if that lady saw me going crazy with that..she never came up to me and I never saw her...but boy was I glad she forgot her sign and sail card LOL. I would have given her 100 bucks if I had seen her though. Edited April 3, 2019 by bingomamma19

maynovmom Posted April 4, 2019 #25 Share Posted April 4, 2019 (edited) On my very first cruise in 2002 I played my very first ship Bingo on the Sensation. I stood in line for a long time and talked to the man ahead of me and the woman behind. When the man ahead of me was finally buying his set of three cards he jokingly told the woman selling them he didn’t want those and to give him the next set. We both laughed and I got the set that he passed up on. Well I ended up winning Bingo and when I stood up all you could hear was “Oh my God No!” We wanted to at least buy him a drink but we never saw him. I was honestly in shock and I remember shaking as they counted out the bills. I’ve won a few times over the years but never that much and never that way! I bet he’s never forgotten either!
