Distinctive Voyages and Excursion Credit?

I have searched these boards and have found so many different responses.  I am hoping a past cruiser can answer.

We have both the Distinctive Voyages and shore ex credit promos.  Is it only $50 per cabin or $50 pp for each promo?  Also we are Platinum so is the discount also included?

Thank you in advance for any and all responses......

We were on the Breakaway last year with both the Distinctive Voyages package and Free Shorex credits (as a free at sea choice). They combined them, so it was $100 off per cabin, per port instead of $50. I hope that's still the same.

As I recall, we only used that for one thing, which we booked onboard   If you book online, they may charge the full amount, and then credit you back once on board, but if you call the shorex desk to book excursions before you sail, I believe they can credit you the full amount (and then you choose to pay at that time, in advance of sailing, or on board, at the end of your sailing.)

Phone the Shorex Desk in Miami and RESERVE your shorex.  They will know you have the two perks as you have to give then your reservation number.

The Confirmation email you get will have no value on it.

The price that you get on your folio overnight the first night will have the Latitudes Discount built in.

You will have the $100 as a credit on your folio each night AFTER you have done the shorex.

TSU Mom,

Mike is correct, I had the same questions (sailing Spirit Feb 14, 2019), my companion and I are getting Latitudes Platinum 10 percent discount and doubling up on the $50.00 per port excursion credit. I was confused and called NCL because there was another promo running at some point that limited the $50.00 per port to only four ports. Enjoy!

The credits will not show up until AFTER all Port days are done, they do not show up daily, they show up all in one shot on the first sea day after all port days are done but they will show up as individual line items.

On Jade in May 2018 and Pearl in November 2018, the credits were applied on a daily basis upon the completion of the shore excursions. The only exception was the home port, Tampa. That credit was applied late afternoon of the final day of the cruise.

On our upcoming cruise we have the Distinctive Voyages and the Free at Sea promo along with Platinum status. On our MyNCL page it shows both promos so they are combinable - in fact when we signed up for the cruise it was mentioned that the two were combinable.

I have also read here on these boards that others have used all three - you can also confirm all of this by calling the shore ex line to double check this info.

Absolutely untrue UNLESS there has been  change since we were on the Jewel in Asia last April/May.  I have my Folio print outs showing the dates that $50 was credited and each appeared the night after each shorex was done.

I had to go to the shore excursion desk to get my Platinum credit and they indicated that unless you requested it, you would not get it.  The $50 per port credit was on the folio the evening after we completed the excursion.  I also booked by phone before the cruise so the cost would show up on my folio instead of prepaying.

The $50 distinctive voyage credit and the $50 shore ex credit will show up normally the evening the day of the excursion. The credits will  go to the main reservation holder but you are able to split those credits in half. It requires trips to guest services. So we just waited towards the end to split the credits between both of us instead of going day by day.
