Closest airport to Brooklyn cruise terminal

Getting ready to book air for upcoming cruise. Looking for closest airport to Brooklyn cruise terminal? Also, looking for a one night pre cruise hotel in that area and transportation to cruise terminal. Any advice? Thanks!

Exact date you need a hotel?  2 people?  Hotel budget range?

Lga for airport , would stay in lower Manhattan short taxi ride from ports

LGA is maybe 10-15 minutes closer to the terminal than JFK is.  Use whichever one has better prices/schedules for your needs

There is a Marriot Hotel in downtown Brooklyn in a beautiful ,safe area.

There are motels in the Laguardia area but I do not know if that area is one you would like to stay in.

I would go on the LGA website and check out nearby motels.

From lower Manhattan there is the option to take the accessible MTA ferry from Pier 11 to the pier at Red Hook for $3/pp with local cab drop off at Pier 11. Great views as you approach your ship across the harbor.
