Does Carnival have excursion sales?

Hi, Royal will occasionally have sales on excursions e.g. 20% (or whatever) off.  Does Carnival do this?

yes, you missed it. Usually during black Friday, there are various promo codes for some % off of tours

If you have a Carnival Mastercard, you can get 10% off excursions that you book prior to the cruise.

On Black Friday they’ve run sales.  Last November it was 10% off each excursion ticket.  

 

Also aside from catching a sale, if you are a Carnival MasterCard holder, they reimburse cruisers 10% off excursions  booked with Carnival and paid for via the MasterCard. It will show up as a statement credit on the credit card statement. (That is good anytime, not just during a sale period)

 

So essentially for Black Friday one could get both the 10% off as the sale plus another 10% reimbursed as a credit on their MasterCard statement for double the savings.

I've only seen Black Friday (and the Carnival MC others have mentioned).

 

Sometimes someone gets the odd promo code the found online to work, but that is rare.

I've noticed that sometimes, when I'm in the process of planning a cruise and I'm trying to figure out what (if any) excursions we're going to do, it'll have a little tag on it with a discounted price. It's not all the time though and I never can figure out when it's going to happen.

Last one I booked....maybe mid December, there was a 10% off offer on all excursions but you had to purchase them RIGHT then when you were booking.

Yea, you have 24 hrs from booking the cruise to also book excursions to get 10% off

Which makes a whole bunch of sense when you book a cruise a year plus out and there are zero excursions posted....

You can save 10% on excursions via the Carnival credit card as well.

I always book a year plus out and when the excursions do become available they give you the 24 hour window with the 10%.

Yes we have always gotten an email that says we have a certain amount of time to book the excursions at a 10% discount.

Interesting, but we did not get any e-mails about this 10% either at time of deposit or final payment? 

 

Not a big deal, just wondering if consistently communicated.

The emails only comes when the shore excursions are so far out that they are not available to be booked yet, If you can book them its a box in your cruise manager tab when you book that gives you 48 hours to book at the discounted rate.

Thank you for that info. I am used to Royal where such discounts are generally announced on their home page, so more widely communicated and generally available.
