How To Kill Time in San Pedro?

I'm sailing on Royal March 23rd and been notified that, since the ship is coming from South America, boarding will be delayed until after 2pm. I will be heading to San Pedro from Anaheim (already pre-booked and paid with Prime Time) and we will arrive there around 11:30am. I am hoping we can at least drop our bags, but what can we do for a few hours until we can get on the ship? Not really interested in paying to go to Long Beach, etc (much as I love it there, we have done everything many times) and we have already done USS Iowa on a previous trip. I will have two kids with me....any suggestions?

I don't think there is anything else to do in San Pedro except go to a restaurant for a while.

I don't now how accurate the timing of your boarding at 2 PM will be but I'd just change the time for your shuttle. It should be the same price no matter which time you choose.

I was thinking of that, but we have to be out of our hotel in Anaheim by 11am anyways, so it would just mean hanging around/killing time there instead. Other than Disney, there isn't a whole lot to do in the Disney area...and after 3 days in the "Happiest Place on Earth" I will probably be more than ready to get out of there!!!

The Cabrillo aquarium is in San Pedro - although very simple - my granddaughter and I enjoyed it a few weeks ago. There were many school age kiddos there who seemed to really enjoy the aquarium.

That might be an option -we love the Long Beach aquarium, but don't really want to pay to cab all the way there and back for a couple of hours! I will look at this one - thank you!

I can also recommend the Los Angeles Maritime Museum.  It is a short walk from the cruise ship terminal, or you can take the historic trolley car if it is running. http://www.lamaritimemuseum.org/

You should also be able to change your shuttle time reservation even if already booked and paid. You certainly can do that with Supershuttle, but I never use Prime Time, so not sure with them.

Easy...just change the pick up time with Prime Time...that should be no trouble at all....contact them directly with your reservation info. to do this.

But then I still have to kill time in Anaheim as we have to be out of our hotel at 11am. We will already have done 3 days at Disney and surrounding areas so not really looking to do anything else that costs money there....

I'm thinking we will stick to the original time and scope out if the ship actually IS boarding that late. If we have lots of time we will either go to the aquarium someone suggested or the San Pedro brewing company. If it isn't too much time then we will hang at the terminal and the kids can get their ipad fix!
