You did receive an answer, and it was no, albeit late! It would have been nice to receive a response email saying your bid wasn't accepted. That would be pretty easy for them to accomplish as well as good customer relations.

Yep that is what matters.  We put some half assed bids in but are happy where we are so if it happens it happens if it doesn't we have more cash.
