The self-service laundry rooms have irons and ironing boards that you can use. Or, bring some Downey Wrinkle Release and spray it on your clothes before hanging them up. The wrinkles will be gone by elegant night. I have used this on every cruise and it works great.

Not sure if it's been updated or not since those pictures were taken 8 years ago but I know most ships now only use your s&s card.
2Shoes2Go Posted March 15, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2019 DH often has his dress shirt and/or pants pressed. He sends them on the first evening and cost is about $4.00 per item. They are already clean.

Platinum do get a limited amount of laundry service and I can assure you from experience, you're stuff is going to come back about as wrinkled as it could possibly be. (good for socks, underwear, swimsuit. No so much for nicer attire).

Yes, do not launder delicates, or anything you do not want washed HOT. Our T's are not wrinkled. As someone said pressing is about $4 an item and we are on vacation, not going to iron myself. I think maybe the "hot" might be what a lot of folks aren't aware of and that the cruise lines (not just Carnival) don't make readily known. Some clothing is fine in hot some is not and those that aren't, won't come back looking like expected. We had that experience on HAL a few years ago and haven't used a cruise ship laundry since. coevan Posted March 15, 2019 #13 Share Posted March 15, 2019 loved it on our B2B, 3 times in 2 weeks. It really lets us pack lightly. We only launder T's, bathing suites, shorts, undies and socks.
jayscore Posted March 16, 2019 #14 Share Posted March 16, 2019 Another thought is to plan a day ahead with the clothes you wear to dinner. We hang our dinner clothes in the bathroom while taking a shower the day before, then hang them in the closet for the next day. It's not perfect, but it helps. And don't forget the Downy Wrinkle Release!
RWolver672 Posted March 16, 2019 #15 Share Posted March 16, 2019 If you use the Downy Wrinkle Release, make sure you do a test spot before hand. It does leave marks on some material.

My experiences must vary from yours. Every time we've used the free Platinum laundry service, our items have come back wrinkled and not very neatly folded. I actually prefer to do my own laundry over sending it out.
evandbob Posted March 16, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) One way to avoid heavy wrinkling is to pack your luggage as close to the sail date as possible. When I flew to most domestic ports, I pack the night before the cruise and used carry on only. That lessens the amount of times my bag got handled. As far as Platinum/Diamond laundry service, or the $15 laundry specials, I've had briefs, shorts, tees and sox come back nicely folded and never an issue in maybe 35 or 40 times I've used it. I'm packing tonight for an ultra casino cruise on the Magic tomorrow. Now it's only a 2 hour drive and I don't have to set an alarm for an early morning flight.
